Vicharchika is often correlated to eczema based on the clinical presentation. Eczema is a form of dermatitis. As per Ayurvedic texts Vicharchika is characterized by symptoms namely kandu (itching), srava (discharge), pidaka (vesicles) and shyava vrana (discolouration). No satisfactory treatment is available in contemporary medical practice except antihistamines and topical steroids. A 55 years old female patient approached to OPD with chief complains of discharge, edema, erythematous skin lesion and intense itching at right ankle region. Line of treatment plan was Raktamokshana as shodhana upkarma and Shaman aushadhi according to dosh dushya samurchana. Remarkable improvement was observed within span of 30 days of commencement of treatment.

In this paper, aiming at the unconstrained optimization problem, a new nonmonotone adaptive retrospective trust region line search method is presented, which takes advantages of multidimensional filter technique to increase the acceptance probability of the trial step. The new nonmonotone trust region ratio is presented, which based on the convex combination of nonmonotone trust region ratio and retrospective ratio. The global convergence and the superlinear convergence of the algorithm are shown in the right circumstances. Comparative numerical experiments show the better effective and robustness.

The microstructure and nanoindentation hardness of unirradiated, irradiated, annealed and corroded SiC coatings were characterized. Irradiation of 400 keV C+ and 200 keV He+ with approximately 10 dpa did not cause obvious amorphous transformation to nanocrystal SiC coatings and induced helium bubbles with 2–3 nm dimension distributed uniformly in the SiC matrix. High temperature annealing resulted in the transformation of SiC nanocrystals into columnar crystals in the irradiated region. Line-shaped bubble bands formed at the columnar crystal boundaries and their stacking fault planes and made the formation of microcracks of hundreds of nanometers in length. Meanwhile, some isolated helium bubbles distributed in SiC grains still maintained a size of 2–3 nm, despite annealing at 1200 °C for 5 h. The SiC coating showed excellent corrosion resistance under high-temperature, high-pressure water. The weight of the sample decreased with the increase of corrosion time. The nanoindentation hardness and the elastic modulus increased significantly with C+ and He+ irradiation, while their values decreased with high-temperature annealing. An increase in the annealing temperature led to an increased reduction in the values. Corrosion caused the decrease of nanoindentation hardness and the elastic modulus in the whole test depth range, whether the samples were irradiated or unirradiated.

Hybridizing the trust region, line search and simulated annealing methods, we develop a heuristic algorithm for solving unconstrained optimization problems. We make some numerical experiments on a set of CUTEr test problems to investigate efficiency of the suggested algorithm. The results show that the algorithm is practically promising.

Change detection (CD) remains an important issue in remote sensing applications, especially for high spatial resolution (HSR) images, but it has yet to be fully resolved. This work proposes a novel object-based change detection (OBCD) method for HSR images that is based on region–line primitive association analysis and evidence fusion. In the proposed method, bitemporal images are separately segmented, and the segmentation results are overlapped to obtain the temporal region primitives (TRPs). The temporal line primitives (TLPs) are obtained by straight line detection on bitemporal images. In the initial CD stage, Dempster–Shafer evidence theory fuses the multiple items of evidence of the TRPs’ spectrum, edge, and gradient changes, and obtains the initial changed areas. In the refining CD stage, the association between the TRPs and their contacting TLPs in the unchanged areas is established on the basis of the region–line primitive association framework, and the TRPs’ main line directions (MLDs) are calculated. Some changed TRPs omitted in the initial CD stage are recovered by their MLD changes, thereby refining the initial CD results. Different from common OBCD methods, the proposed method considers the change evidence of TRPs’ internal and boundary information simultaneously via information complementation between TRPs and TLPs. The proposed method can significantly reduce missed alarms while maintaining a low level of false alarms in OBCD, thereby improving total accuracy. In our experiments, our method is superior to common CD methods, including change vector analysis (CVA), PCA-k-means, and iterative reweighted multivariate alteration detection (IRMAD), in terms of overall accuracy, missed alarms, and Kappa coefficient.
