Abstract Purpose – Providing the technological reliability of the robotic assembly of joints with RK-profile on the basis of adaptation devices and low-frequency oscillations. Design/methodology/approach – Ensuring the assembly conditions is achieved by the vibration device that provides oscillations relative to the two axes, perpendicular to the assembly direction and rotation about the assembly axis. Compensation of the linear error in the position of the parts is attained by an adaptive gripper with a flexible link. Findings – A mathematical model describing the assembly process of parts relative to the non-inertial coordinate system is developed. The technological modes of profile parts assembly are defined. Originality/value – The robotic assembly method of profile joints by the adaptation devices, namely a combination of elastic fixing of the installed profile part and the simultaneous rotation and vibration of the base part to improve the process reliability is developed. Experimental studies confirmed the adequacy of the created mathematical model. The patent for the assembly method of profile joints with a gap is received.

Article presents results of study on possibility of increasing the efficiency of drilling directional straight sections of wells using screw downhole motors (SDM) with a combined method of drilling with rotation of drilling string (DS). Goal is to ensure steady-state operation of SDM with simultaneous rotation of DS by reducing the amplitude of oscillations with adjusting the parameters of drilling mode on the basis of mathematical modeling for SDM – DS system. Results of experimental study on determination of extrema distribution of lateral and axial oscillations of SDM frame depending on geometrical parameters of gerotor mechanism and modes ensuring stable operation are presented.Approaches to development of a mathematical model and methodology are conceptually outlined that allow determining the range of self-oscillations for SDM – DS system and boundaries of rotational and translational wave perturbations for a heterogeneous rod with an installed SDM at drilling directional straight sections of well. This mathematical model of SDM – DS system's dynamics makes it possible to predict optimal parameters of directional drilling mode that ensure stable operation of borehole assembly.

This paper is concerned with the stability analysis of rotating cylindrical shells conveying a co-rotating fluid. The problem is solved by the finite element method for shells subjected to different boundary conditions. It has been found that the loss of stability for a rotating shell under the action of the fluid having both axial and circumferential velocity components depends on the type of boundary conditions imposed on the shell ends. The results of numerical calculations have shown that for different variants of boundary conditions a simultaneous rotation of shell and the fluid causes an increase or decrease in the critical velocity of axial fluid flow.

In this paper, by used Frenet trihedron for a lightlike curve, the motion of Darboux rotation axis is seperated to two simultaneous rotation motions. These rotation motions are that tangent and normal vectors of lightlike curve rotate around each other. But, the angular speeds of them are different. Then, by doing the similar operations, we obtain that Darboux axis rotates around spacelike vector of Frenet trihedron of the lightlike curve and this spacelike vector rotates around Darboux axis. Consequently, we obtain the series of Darboux vectors by this way. So, simple mechanisms can be formed.
