There are three main fuel brands for jet engines of civil aviation used: domestic TS-1 and RT and foreign, produced in relatively small volumes in Russia, JET A-1 (JET A-1). Since the end of the 2000s, foreign manufacturers have made claims to the quality of the mass-used domestic fuel brand TS-1, and these claims have not been specified. However, the service life of a number of foreign engines operating on TS-1 fuel has been reduced by 50%. This circumstance can be caused by both subjective reasons – commercial and political interests of equipment manufacturers, and the objective ones. The main objective reason may be that recently several Russian plants producing TS-1 fuel have begun to produce composite propellant under the same name, where products of secondary oil refining processes are added to the straight-run fractions. These fuels meet the requirements of the standard (GOST 10227-86), which does not contain an indicator that characterizes the anti-wear properties of jet fuels. In the standard for JET A-1 fuel, anti-wear properties are normalized, and they are also normalized in the standard for domestic fuels for supersonic aviation. The article presents comparative tests of anti-wear properties of samples of jet fuels used in the civil aviation. The article substantiates the relevance of the anti-wear properties indicator in the standard for domestic brands of jet fuels for subsonic aircraft introduction, as well as the comparative analysis of the anti-wear properties of fuels produced by various Russian oil refineries. Indicators and methods for assessing the anti-wear properties of aviation fuels can be different. As such an indicator, it is proposed to use the anti-wear properties indicator calculated after testing fuel samples on a four-ball friction machine.

Today, one of the urgent problems of car operation is the problem of fuel overheating at elevated ambient temperatures, resulting in an error " fuel overheating" on the car, which in turn affects the car’s performance. This article presents research on testing fuel heat exchangers as part of a car’s fuel system by improving the design of the car’s power system. Three experiments were carried out to determine the temperature regime of the vehicle’s power supply system. Positive results of the work were obtained, which made it possible to eliminate the occurrence of the error " fuel overheating" and obtain stabilization of the fuel temperature. Keywords: power system, heat exchanger, cooling

With the increase in the production of new machines, it was necessary to pay more attention to their repair and maintenance, expand research, create appropriate standards, and constantly update technical documentation. The pre-1953 repair laboratories were not powerful enough to solve the growing problems. In 1953, it was decided to establish The State Union Research Institute for the Repair and Operation of Tractors and Agricultural Machinery. (Research purpose) The research purpose is in describing the history of GOSNITI establishment, analyzing the tasks and results of the Institute's activities over the first decade. (Materials and methods) The article presents the base of the new Institute and its quantitative composition. The article describes the main objectives of the Institute and its activities. (Results and discussion) Work was carried out to create self-moving workshops for filling filters, electric brake stands, stands for testing fuel equipment, equipment for vibration contact surfacing. The calculations of the repair base for the regions were carried out. The article presents the list of works that were widely implemented in the national economy and the list of publications of technical documentation. GOSNITI was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on May 25, 1967, for implementing the system and advanced technology for repairing cars. (Conclusions) The staff of the established Institute successfully completed the tasks set in the first decade.

This study aims to determine the effect of bio ethanol mixing with pertalite fuel on the performance of injection motorcycle engines. By presenting E0-E20 bio ethanol mixture with pertalite fuel. Performance testing parameters are torque, power and specific fuel consumption. In this study using a test method using the dynotest tool to determine the torque and power generated from mixing the fuel. And for testing fuel consumption using the scaffolding of homemade test equipment. The result of this presentation is the right mix presentation for 150cc injection motorbikes, namely the presentation of the E15 mixture of all E15 fuel, the highest torque, power, and stable fuel consumption, not according to the power and torque produced. Keywords: Pertalite, Bio Ethanol, Power, Torque, and Specific Fuel Consumption

Measurement strategies for testing fuel tank corrosion using the ultrasonic Phased Array technology, these have been developed by companies producing ultrasonic measuring instruments, are only applied when performing manual measurement. Therefore, the applying of these measurement strategies for self-propelled robot carrying ultrasonic transducers to automate the testing process have not met the demand. This article presents the results of a study to develop a measurement strategy for testing fuel tank corrosion based on the specification of the self-propelled robot, the ability to build a corrosion map from collected image data by robot. Experimental results show that, with the three proposed measurement strategies using robot, the measurement strategy for moving the robot from bottom to top up will have the shortest testing time, image data are next and data coupling to build a corrosion map is easy. In addition, the process of building a corrosion map can be automatically performed on the computer, making the assessment process more convenient, accurate and faster.
