Image segmentation is an important process in image processing. Though, there are many applications are affected by the segmentation methods and algorithms, unfortunately, not one technique, but the threshold is the popular one. Threshold technique can be categorized into two ways either simple threshold which has one threshold or multi- thresholds separated which has more than two thresholds . In this paper, image segmentation is used simple threshold method which is a simple and effective technique. Therefore, to calculate the value of threshold solution which is led to increase exponentially threshold that gives multi-thresholds image segmentation present a huge challenge. This paper is considered the multi-thresholds segmentation model for the optimization problem in order to overcome the problem of excessive calculation. The objective of this paper proposed an slgorithmto solve the optimization problem and realize multi-thresholds image segmentation. The proposed multi-thresholds segmentation algorithm should be segmented  the raw  image into pieces, and compared with other algorithms results. The experimental results that show multi-thresholds image segmentation based on backtracking search optimization algorithm are feasible and have a good segmentation.   http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.25.2020.036

Folds of northern Iraq are considered integral part for the Western Zagros Fold – Thrust Belt. The growth of these folds was due to inversion displacement on inherited listric faults. This research deal with the relationship between the folds vergency and the faults that propagated folds, where that the dip of the back limb (gentle limb) for the fold is parallel to the thrust fault surface that propagated the fold, and the vergency of the fold determined by the forelimb (steep limb) situation. As a results, the folds of the high folded zone and of the western part of the low folded zone showed suture ( N and NE) vergency and foreland (S and SW) vergency, while the eastern part of the low fold zone showed foreland (S and SW) vergency only. The appearance of the suture and foreland vergency within the high folds considered as indication to the high tectonic development conformable with the location of these folds in the Iraqi Zagros Fold Belt, while the appearance of the suture and foreland vergency in the western part of the low folded zone attributed to the more tectonic development of this part in comparison with the eastern part of the zone that there folds appeared foreland vergencies only, or to the influence of the evaporite beds for Fatha formation in this part.          http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.25.2020.031

In this paper, a mathematical model consisting of the prey-predator model, prey is at risk of disease then become as susceptible and infected, while predator with different stage structure: immature and mature predator, the infected prey is at risk recover and harvest. The function of disease is proportionality function. At the beginning, the reasons of studying stage structure and the dynamic of nontrivial subsystems that may be lead to coexistence of these types of spices explain and by using Maple software, Jacobean matrix, Routh-Hurwitz criterion, Bendixson-Dulac criterion and Lyapunov function to prove the existence, periodic solution, local and global stability. We concluded that the survival for two preys are possible through the non-periodic solution due to the Bendixson-Dulac criterion, also the immature predator neither attack preys nor yield offspring's and die when the mature predator extinction, the global stability conditions for the original system be stretch of global stability conditions for subsystems. Finally, Mathematica software employs to describe some results in numerical simulation   http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.25.2020.040

The Clinical study included individuals (m23ales and females aged 25-75y) with cardiovascular disease. The activity of Lecithin: cholesterol acyl transferase (LCAT) and glutathione peroxidase(GPx) was estimated, in addition to the level of apolipoprotein AI (apo AI), apolipoprotein B100 (apoB100), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-c), low density lipoprotein-cholesterol (LDL-c), glutathione (GSH), peroxy nitrate (PN), malondialdehyde (MDA), glucose and certain elements (Zn, Cu, Mg and Co) in blood serum. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in the activity of LCAT and GPx, and the level of apoAI, HDL-c, GSH, Zn and Mg. on the other hand, it was shown that there was a significant increase in the level of apoB100, TC, TG,  LDL-c, PN, Glu, Cu and Co but on unsignificant change in the level of MDA for both male and females.   http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.25.2020.026

This research includes synthesis and characterization of some of Cd(II) complexes with (3-hydrazonoindolin-2-one)(HZI) ligand and amino pyridine ligands.    Treatment equialmolar of CdCl2.2.5H2O and (HZI) ligand with two moles of n-aminopyridine (n-amp) (n:2,3,4) ligands afford a tetrahedral complexes of the type [Cd(HZI)(n-amp)2]Cl2, where (HZI) ligand behaves as a bidentate chelating fashion through the N atom of azomethine group and  O atom of carbonyl group. Whereas the (n-amp)(n: 2,3,4) was bonded monodentate mode through the N atom of heterocyclic ring. The prepared complexes have been characterized by molar conductivity, elemental analysis, infrared spectra and 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectra. Also the evaluation of biological activity of the prepared complexes against two types of gram positive bacteria (Staphylococcus Epidermidis and Staphylococcus aureus) and (Citrobacer Freundii) and gram negative, all prepared complexes showed activity against Staphylococcus aureus more than  amikacin, while the [Cd(HZI)(3-amp)2]Cl2 complex showed high activity against Staphylococcus Epidermidis and Citrobacter freundii more than another prepared complexes   http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.25.2020.028

In this study, the variance compounds parameters of the mixed bi-division variance analysis sample are estimated. This estimation is obtained, by Bayes quadratic unbiased estimator. The second way to estimate variance compounds parameters of a suggested tow-way analysis of variance mixed model with interaction. estimation is done out by the approach called (MINQUÉ). The estimation approach is conducted on true obtained from departments at the college of agriculture/university of Mosul. These data represent the development of growing various kinds of tomato so that the development represents three factors: the first is tomato kind, this is the first factor (H) and the factor of natural fertilizer rate, and this is the second factor (M), and the interaction between the two factors (HM). A random sample is taken from these data in order to get the random linear sample. The elementary values estimated by Bayes unbiased estimator are very much close to those estimated by variance analysis style when compared with the estimated values of the variance estimation parameters done by minimum standard quadratic unbiased estimation. The elementary values represent random linear sample parameters used to estimate minimum quadratic unbiased standard. The elementary values of the estimations are also obtained via analyzing bi-division variance, then these estimations are employed in estimating minimum quadratic unbiased standard. the estimation results by Bayes approach are very similar to those done by variance analysis   http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.25.2020.038

In the present paper, we apply the modern extension of the hyperbolic tanh function method of nonlinear partial differential equations (NLPDEs) of Kudryashov - Sinelshchikov (KS) equation for obtaining exact and solitary traveling wave solutions. Through our solutions, we gain various functions, such as, hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational functions. Additionally, we support our results by comparisons with other methods and painting 3D graphics of the exact solutions. It is shown that our method provides a powerful mathematical tool to find exact solutions for many other nonlinear equations in applied mathematics   http://dx.doi.org/10.25130/tjps.25.2020.039
