ANALISIS VARIABEL YANG BERPENGARUH TERHADAP KINERJA PERUSAHAAN DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIAOleh : Suseno STIE SATRIA Purwokerto ABSTRACT The aims of the research are (1) to analyze influence of age, scale, financial leverage, and profitability to performance of firms at The Indonesian Stock Exchange. (2) to determine the most influential variable on the performance of the firms. Hypotheses proposed in this research were: (1) Age, Scales, Financial Leverage, Profitability influences the performance of firms, (2) Age influences the performance of firms, (3) Scales influences the performance of firms, (4) Financial Leverage influences the performance of firms, (5) Profitability influences the performance of firms. Instrument of analysis employed in the research was multiple linear regression with t test and F test.The results of analyses of t test showed that profitability did not influence the performance of the firms. It was indicated by the value of computed t which was smaller than the value of t table. Meanwhile, the t test of age, scale and financial leverage indicated that the value of computed t > t table. It means that these variables (scale and financial leverage) influenced the performance of the firms. The F test showed that the independent variables of age, scale, financial leverage and profitability as a whole significantly influenced the performance of the firms. It was indicated by the calculated F > the value of F table, the value the age computed t which was smaller than the value of -t table..Based on the research results that age and profitability do not influence the performance of the firms, it is suggested that investors should not pay any attention to those variables. On the other hand, they should pay attention to the variables of scale and financial leverage. It is recommended that for further research should include longer periode of the sample.

This study examines the determinants of two important dividend policy decisions specifically the dividend payment decision and the dividend payout level decision of 781 sample Indian firms enlisted on National Stock Exchange (NSE) over the period, 1995–2015, comparing the business group-affiliated firms with the standalone firms. In term of characteristics, the business group-affiliated firms are larger, more profitable and more levered than the standalone firms. The empirical results suggest that the dividend policy decisions of business group-affiliated firms differ significantly from that of the standalone firms. In the case of standalone firms, the firms with high investment opportunities, high financial leverage and high business risk are less likely to pay dividends, and their dividend payout levels are lower. On the other hand, the firms affiliated with business groups are more likely to pay dividends, and their dividend payout levels are higher even when they have high investment opportunities, high financial leverage and high business risk. Overall, the findings suggest that although the business groups are able to create internal capital markets (ICMs) and shield their member firms from market imperfections, they may suffer from other information asymmetry problems.

This research intends to fill the gap in the literature by studying the impact of lagged real advertising expenditures on different perspectives of brand equity in the Egyptian context, which are: Firm-based and Market-based brand equity. The research follows the quantitative research-based approach, with the descriptive explanatory method. Secondary data was collected from firms’ financial reports of sixteen sectors for the period 2013 - 2020 to consider the effect of real advertising expenditures on firm-based and market-based brand equity models. Data was collected from 168 listed companies in the Egyptian stock exchange market, after deleting the financial institutions. The unit of analysis was the corporate brands and data collected was panel data analyzed using Eviews program – version 10, using GLS regression. Results showed that market risk significantly moderates the relationship between advertising expenditures and Firm-based and Market-based brand equity.

This research has want to know and prove the effect of dividend payout, asset growth, asset size, liquidity, financial leverage, earning variability and accounting beta to beta of stock simultaneously and partially in manufacturing companies at Jakarta Stock Exchange.  This research use secondary data which is collected based on time series data and cross section include 12 manufacturing company stocks as the sample. The data is collected from the online data of Jakarta Stock Exchange in YPKP, Indonesia Capital Market Directory, JSX Statistic, and Business News. The model of this research is estimated by Generalized Least Square (GLS) with Fixed Effect Model and Dummy Variable to estimate the effect of some financial variables specifically towards Beta of Stock. The result show that all of the variables in this research consistent with the theory as expected. The coefficient direction of asset growth, financial leverage, earning variability and accounting beta shows positive, while the coefficient direction of dividend payout, asset size, liquidity shows oppositely. Simultaneously all variables influence beta of stock, in the other side partially shows that asset growth, earning variability, asset size, and liquidity, have significant effect to beta, whereas dividend payout ratio, financial leverage and accounting beta do not have significant effect. One of the implications of this research is that the study of beta of stock should be more comprehensively, not only contains micro variables but also the macro variables as well include dimension of social economy and politic

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of capital labour intensive, investment, managerial ownership, operating leverage, dividen and financial leverage on the firm value of Indonesia non financial sector companies, the influence of capital labour intensive, investment, managerial ownership, operating leverage variable on dividen and financial leverage of Indonesia non financial sector companies, and the influence of capital labour intensive, investment, managerial ownership, operating leverage variable on the firm value through dividen and financial leverage as intervening variable. The research data was collected using purposive sampling method to the data of non financial sector companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange during the period 2003-2012. Based on the criteria of the study obtained 310 samples were then analyzed Using the panel data regression and path analysis. The results show that the capital labour intensive, investment, managerial ownership, operating leverage, dividen and financial leverage have significant influences on the firm value of Indonesia non financial sector companies. The capital labour intensive, investment, managerial ownership, operating leverage variable do not have significant influences on dividen. The capital labour intensive, investment, managerial ownership, operating leverage variable have significant influences on financial leverage. With path analysis, the result show the The capital labour intensive, investment, managerial ownership, operating leverage variable do not have significant influence on the firm value of Indonesia non financial sector companies with dividen and financial leverage as intervening variable. Objective – This study aims to examine the effect of cash holding, earnings management, profitability, company size, and financial leverage on firm value in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018.  Design/methodology – This study used hypothesis testing. Samples were selected using purposive sampling as many as 82 companies. Data obtained from annual reports and analyzed using panel data regression analysis method.  Results – The results showed that cash holding, earnings management, and profitability as inde-pendent variables, company size and financial leverage as control variables jointly affect the value of the company. Partially, earnings management has no effect on firm value, while cash holding, profitability, company size, and financial leverage have an effect on firm value.
