This paper points out the flaws of the CIMS, and states that synergetic manufacturing method that is based on Synergetics theory, is able to overcome the majority of the flaws in CIMS. It describes a new method model of synergetic manufacturing, which divides the enterprises into three types: Design, Manufacturing and Auxiliary, they are connected via the data exchange platform that is established with the aid of internet. This new manufecturing model breaks through the limits, that traditional manufecturing industry has, among the enterprises societies and countries to realize the matter and information flows extending over country bounds in the global production chain. The paper further discusses the topics of quality chain management process and the reliability of the database that synergetic manufacturing will be using. Thus it improves the agility and competitiveness of the enterprises sharply.

Abstract On the world stage, Brazil is the third largest world fruit producer. However, purchasing fruit companies are suffering from the effects of fluctuations in production and demand, inefficiency in production and information trade, lack of understanding of the dynamics of supply and reduction in profitability for all members of the fruit production chain. The supply chain management has been touted as one of the ways to reduce this volatility and improve outcomes for all involved with the supply chain. However, results of recent researches do not relate it directly to the fruit industry. To solve this problem, the present research aimed to analyze the planning and management of the supply chain of a fruit purchasing company and identify contributions and improvements to the theories and methods related to supply chain management to propose a method for planning and management the supply chain of fruit purchasing companies. It was conducted a case study from a mango fruit purchasing company using interviews with industry experts to assess the applicability, functionality and usefulness from the managerial point of view of the proposed method. Data analysis was done through the cross analysis of the methods of the supply chain management and the description of the case. The results of the study allowed the development of a method for planning and management the supply chain of fruit purchasing company. With the proposition of this method is expected to contribute with a sequence of steps to assist in planning and management of supply chain managers and specialists from a fruit purchasing company.

The study aimed to identify the relevant researches that address the production chain theme with a focus on sustainability-oriented products. To achieve the proposed objective, a bibliometric research with content analysis was carried out. The research considered the following themes: supply chain management, production chain and sustainable product. The search platform used for data collection was the Brazilian CAPES database, which resulted in 2,052 articles. Based on data inclusion and exclusion criteria, 30 articles were selected as the most important to perform the content analysis. It became clear that the management of the production chain and its sustainable operations constitute a challenge for companies that seek and develop their inter-organizational skills and for all the actors involved in the chain. In general, the study points out that the challenges faced by management professionals are still associated with the incorporation of sustainability into their manufacturing processes. On the other hand, literature is rich in management learning associated with sustainability. Thus, the result of this study is relevant, as it is associated with the conceptual systematization that presupposes management guidelines for the product's productive chain that incorporates sustainability. Such learning can be able to serve as parameters for the promotion of sustainable development.

Due to the pyramidal-hierarchical structure of supply chain networks power is an essential part of them and the fact that it is very often unequally distributed among the participants is quite obvious, which might represent great difficulties for member-owned enterprise coops. By clarifying the concept of power and identifying its five different sources, we were able to build hypotheses of how power affects cooperation and coordination – the two main elements of chain management in wine business. The first aim of our research is to elaborate on the question of power. Furthermore, we will construct some hypotheses regarding the use of power as a chain management instrument. Our second aim is to apply our general findings to the wine production chain, analysing the power play between cooperatives and retailers, and between cooperatives and their members. Due to the explorative nature of our study, we based the elaboration of our second aim on oral interviews, which were conducted in 2009, as well as in 2010, at five major international food and beverage fairs (twice ProWein, Anuga, and twice Fruit Logistica) in Germany. In addition, we conducted a comprehensive review of the Lebensmittelzeitung – the leading German food and beverage newspaper – for the last five years. Discussing our hypotheses in the context of the German wine sector, in which cooperatives are still of high importance, we were able to show that power is a very useful tool for managing strictlycoordinated chains. However, depending on which source the power originates from, its effect may be completely different.
