Strategic plan is an important integral part and vital factor for long-tern success and sustainable development of any organization and also for SMEs. Without strategic plan an SME may journey towards an imaginary destination. The current study is an endeavor to highlight the present scenario of SMEs in Bangladesh, scope of strategic plan in SMEs, barriers to preparing strategic plan and ways to removal of the barriers and finally implications of strategic plan in SMES in Bangladesh.  The paper found that sustainable development of SMEs highly depends on the preparation and implementation of strategic plan in SMEs in Bangladesh and strategic plan has direct impact on the growth of number of employees, volume of capital and return on sales of SMEs. Over the past decade, the tourism industry in Vietnam in general and in Central Vietnam in particular has grown significantly and played a major role in the economy, contributing not only to the national GDP but also to development of other sectors such as transportation, construction and banking, etc. However, this growth has not reached full potentials of the region. Empirical study in ?? N?ng has revealed limitations in the development of tourism in this province and in Central Coastal region as well. By analyzing minutely main causes of limitations based on the value chain analysis, this paper proposes some solutions to sustainable tourism development in the Central Coastal region by developing a single destination and making the best use of creative and supporting resources besides local natural ones.

Based on 1990-2007 data in Guangdong China, this chapter studies the correlation of environmental pollution, human capital, and economic growth. The results show that Guangdong’s economic growth deteriorates the environmental quality. Highly skilled human capital is one of the main engines of the economic growth and the growth promotes the human capital’s accumulation. Upgrading the human capital helps controlling pollutant emission and environmental pollution depresses the human capital accumulation. Furthermore, the authors hope that understanding the individual relationships between environmental pollution and human capital or economic growth will help the environmental protection authority or governments in China to make more effective and efficient regulations or policies to coordinate the country’s sustainable development.

Lightweight frame structures become increasingly popular in housing. They are used in single-, as well as multifamily, residential buildings. Such a tendency is in the line with sustainable development and the need for energy conservation. Lightweight frame partitions provide a certain comfort of life and remain environmentally friendly. However, they are tricky in terms of acoustics. Different factors and technical details influence their sound insulation. The paper presents the analysis of the acoustical effects resulting from different layers used on lightweight frame floors. Airborne, as well as impact sound insulation, have been considered, based on the results of laboratory measurements according to ISO 10140 standard.
