This research focuses on the emergency-housing demand caused by the on-going refugee crisis in Southeastern Europe. The research and proposed solutions focus on Northern Serbia, as this region generally lacks permanent housing solutions for accommodating the increasing influx of immigrants. The outcome of this research is an architectural proposal for the refugee housing unit designed particularly for the situational factors of this focus region.    The study identifies earth architecture as the primary building technique, due to its ability to satisfy a range of defined end-product goals.  These goals include: the sustainability of the material, quality and durability of the final product, skill level required for non-professional construction, final cost of material and execution, historical regional precedent, and opportunity for communal engagement of the immigrant population. The proposed architectural design uses earth-bag construction as the sub-method most suitable for this location and in keeping with the goals outlined above. The proposed housing unit is a singular component that could be duplicated to create larger communal housing communities.  A broad overview of possible solutions is included, followed by the development of the earth-bag construction option. The development of this proposal includes material studies, sketches, and an architectural model as representation tools. The outcomes of this research serve as a guideline, rather than a precise construction model, in creating much needed refugee housing communities in North Serbia.

This paper explains a deep comparison between two controller techniques firstly controller control on modulation index and the second controller use dq method. Both of these controller approaches have control on three phase voltage and use the same system unchanged. The system is a solar system together with a backup battery connected to a single housing unit. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm has been utilized to improve the controller performance by automatically finding its parameters in order to reduce the error in the proportional Integral (PI) controller. Optimization process has been done with a real recording data of housing unit demand in Malaka, Malaysia. System has been simulated and tested in MATLAB/Simulink environment with m-file runs PSO algorithm and simulate the system hundreds of times to get the best results showing in this paper. Comparisons were taking place in controller design and in the simulation results that express the strength and weaken points of each controller starts with THD voltage and current waveform and RMS voltage in each controller.

This study aimed to determine the legal relationship of the parties in the Agreement on Sale and Purchase (PPJB) Flats and legal protection for buyers of Flat Housing Unit if the seller / developer defaults. This research is a normative juridical research, namely research on laws that are in the legislation in force in Indonesia. This research focused on document research or literature which essentially looks for theories, views that have correlation and are relevant to the problems to be studied. The results of the study indicated that the legal relationship between the parties in the PPJB starts from the signing of the PPJB, so that a legal relationship is established which creates the rights and obligations of each party. Legal protection for buyers of Flat Units if the seller / developer defaults is through arbitration at the cost of joint responsibility by the parties. It meant that if there is a dispute between the parties regarding the sale and purchase agreement unit apartment, the settlement is not through public court or litigation, but the solution is taken through arbitration (non litigation)

This study reexamines the relationship between house size and price by using the quantile regression model. Housing transactions data of the National Taipei University Special Zone in Taiwan are adopted, and the findings are as follows. First, the total price of a smaller housing unit will increase at a decreasing rate as its size increases. The decrease in marginal price might be due to the declining marginal utility of the property right. Secondly, the total price of a larger housing unit will increase at an increasing rate as its size increases. The size premium effect might be due to the influence of conspicuous consumption. Thirdly, housing with a lower square meter price is subject to greater price competitiveness in the market, and the price will increase at a decreasing rate as the size increases. Conversely, a housing unit with a higher square meter price will decrease at an increasing rate as its size increases. This might be due to the constraint imposed by the purchaser’s housing affordability. These findings clarify the nonlinear relationships between housing size and price, and provide very useful information for decision making of the developers, home purchasers, real estate appraisers, and the governments.

Dhaka city is with its unplanned urban growth, creating shortage of land in comparison to the ever-increasing population, and uneven distribution of residential lands among different income groups. Moreover, factories are flourishing in Dhaka city, but no attempt has yet been made so far, to provide adequate to the workers with low-income either by the government or the factory owner. A housing unit demands the qualities of comfort, conveniences, and amenities; however, this demand requires considerable chunk of land and renters or owners need to have financial solvency to dwell in. Here come the premises on housing affordability. The paper aims at understanding the pulse of low-Income peoples ‘housing' that include settlement pattern, house forms, space allocations, group accommodations, breathing spaces and sharing of facilities and utilities and consequently provide them a viable environment where life and living turn into a delight.
