The article deals with fuel and energy complex of Canada as one of the largest manufacturers of primary energy in the world, which provides up to 6 percent of the world energy supply. Only the Russian Federation, PRC, the United States of America and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have larger production volumes. However, oil plays the most significant role in Canada's energy exports. It is estimated that its proven reserves are sufficient to meet the demand for 140 years at current production rate. The relevance of the study, including the analysis of fuel and energy complex of Canada, is due to the fact that such comparison and synthesis of data on the amount of recoverable oil reserves, the volume of its production, imports, exports and transit of oil and oil products, the distribution of oil for transportation (via pipelines, rail, sea, road), strategic oil field, refining and transportation of oil and oil products development projects, as well as implementation of Canada's best practices in the Russian Federation, is being developed for the first time. In addition, the data given in previously published articles on the subject, due to the dynamic development of the industry, are obsolete and do not reflect the real situation.

As a result of man’s intensive activities, the pollution of the world oceans and the pollutions of domestic waters reached such scales that the natural mechanisms of clearance are not capable of their utilisation. It causes the breakage of ecological balance, which becomes more and more difficult to control and causes natural excitation on the future of biosphere. Anthropogenic pollution includes various components, among which, nowadays, the first place belongs to oil and oil products. Fighting against this kind of pollution is a modern problem. By the literal data, the annual anthropogenic flow of oil products in the sea is caused by the loss of oil on tankers. It is known number of contact and non-contact methods of the pollution analyses of oil. Among them, the spectral optical methods are widely used, the major advantage of which is their expressiveness and distance. The laser methods should also be mentioned. Among them, the most sensible method is fluorimetry.

This paper discusses issues related to the current state of the world oil market. The system of indicators of the development of the world oil market has been determined. Analyzed the current state of the world oil market and changes in it that followed due to the outbreak of coronavirus and the rupture of the OPEC + deal. The modern world market for oil and oil products is one of the key markets in the world economy, which explains the importance of its research in the context of analyzing industry markets. The basic forecast of the development of the world oil market for 2020 is considered. The reasons for the change in the forecast of the oil market development for 2020 are revealed.

The world ocean is an integral system, directly influencing the climate of the whole planet, the plant and the animal world, the processes of life and human activity. The result of the World Ocean space, its waters and resources intensive use is the problem of its protection against pollution. It is one of the new challenges and threats to the security of states. Nevertheless, of all natural objects, this most important component of the Earth hydrosphere is most exposed to pollution. Thus, according to expert estimates, most of the total amount of the world ocean pollution is conditioned by terrestrial sources, which are the least manageable by international law due to their location on the territory of a certain sovereign state. Coastal areas are exploited by a man very actively and bring the greatest economic benefit. And, thus, this zone is the center of the greatest anthropogenic impact on the waters and the living resources of the World Ocean. Entering the coastal marine areas located on the shores of industrialized countries, the amount of pollutants is so high that it can rightly be considered as a global environmental problem of an international character with a rapid movement and distribution, capable to predetermine the fate of the entire oceans. Therefore, it is quite natural that from the middle of the twentieth century this problem became a key issue for states, academic circles, international specialists and put them before the need to develop a mechanism for its international legal and national regulation as soon as possible.

Although not commonly recognized as such, China is a sizeable oil exporter in the world. In 1985, for example, it exported 36.24 million tonnes of crude oil and oil products, accounting for 2.41 per cent of total oil exports in the world. Oil also satisfied 17 per cent of total domestic energy needs and generated 25.9 per cent of all export earnings of the country in 1985.
