The open collaborative innovation model based on a triple helix proposes a way by which collaborative processes and innovation networks create value. It contains seven components: (1) innovation challenges, (2) internal-external knowledge, (3) paradigm change, (4) leadership, (5) interinstitutional and transdisciplinary teams, (6) communication, and (7) creative solutions; and six principles: (1) identity, (2) agreements,(3) flexibility, (4) commitment, (5) recognition, and (6) trust. This research emphasizes on the importance of Component 5 for programs of open collaborative innovation, since the joint work among the academy, the government, and the industry to create a triple helix consolidates systems of regional innovation that are necessary to improve national competitiveness and productivity.

AbstractHealth organizations have always sought partnership to join competencies in innovation, even with fierce competition in this sector. In this pandemic moment it is relevant to observe how organizations behave to seek quick and safe answers. The present research analyzes how the cooperation networks were set off considering the clinical trials on therapies and vaccines that were developed specifically to treat or prevent COVID-19. Social Network Analysis technique was used to build cooperation networks and apply metrics that characterize these connections. There was an evaluation of statistics of Strength of cooperation and Unilateral dependence of cooperation that identify the cooperation strength between two organizations, and the dependence of this relations. A total of 415 clinical trial were identified, of which 42% are in cooperation. From organizations that have partnership, firms are the first, followed by universities. We extracted the main categories that concentrate 74% of partnerships in the trials of antibody, and vaccine. Several organizations cooperate in multiple categories of trials, evidencing the efforts to focus on different strategies to treat the disease. We found high strength of cooperation and an assimetryc dependency between partners, which can be assigned to specialized models of partnership and it occurs in competitive enviroments like this pandemic moment. Cooperation were not limited to geographical proximity and the advent of Chinese players can represent a new change in the biotechnological development axis. Finally, the challenge of finding therapeutic or immunological solutions for COVID-19 demonstrates a clear composition of cooperation groups that complement their skills to manage organizational strategies to beat the pandemic. In this new paradigm, there can be partnerships not only in clinical trial but also in pre-competitive technologies development. This experience is expected to change the way of organizations define their R&D strategies and start to adopt more a collaborative innovation model.

Collaborative innovation has a significant impact on the efficiency of manufacturing services and manufacturing innovation. In this paper, a collaborative innovation model of manufacturing services and manufacturing is constructed based on the two-dimensional asymmetric evolutionary game basic model. The stable evolution strategy of the model is to be found through the solutions to the replicator dynamic differential equation of both sides of the game. The results show that on the one hand, producer services can rely on the carrier of knowledge capital and human capital to link to the manufacturing process from front to back, and form the forward and backward spillover effect. On the other hand, the knowledge elements in producer services, especially tacit knowledge, are transmitted through the modern network under the common industrial culture atmosphere in the process of continuous industrial interaction and industrial integration, which can promote the sharing and transfer of knowledge, produce interactive innovation, and finally promote the innovation of value chain.

This paper discusses the basic concepts of collaborative product design and application status, pointing out that collaborative innovation is to solve the current domestic industrial design common small-scale enterprises, an effective way of weak innovation capability. Effective industrial design industry collaborative innovation model is the internal collaboration, collaborative industrial design firms and manufacturing companies, the collaboration between the members of the industrial design industry chain integration.

The processes of generating innovative solutions mostly rely on skilled experts who are usually unavailable and their outcomes have uncertainty. Computer science and information technology are changing the innovation environment and accumulating Big Data from which a lot of knowledge is to be discovered. However, it is a rather nebulous area and there still remain several challenging problems to integrate the multi-information and rough knowledge effectively to support the process of innovation. Based on the new cross discipline Extenics, the authors have presented a collaborative innovation model in the context of Big Data. The model has two mutual paths, one to transform collected data into an information tree in a uniform basic-element format and another to discover knowledge by data mining, save the rules in a knowledge base, and then explore the innovation paths and solutions by a formularized model based on Extenics. Finally, all possible solutions are scored and selected by 3D-dependent function. The model which integrates different departments to put forward the innovation solutions is proved valuable for a user of the Big Data by a practical innovation case in management.
