Abstract Background and Purpose It used to be a common practice in the field of nutritional epidemiology to analyze separate nutrients, foods, or food groups. However, in reality, nutrients and foods are consumed in combination. The introduction of dietary patterns (DP) and their analysis has revolutionized this field, making it possible to take into account the synergistic effects of foods and to account for the complex interaction among nutrients and foods. Three approaches of DP analysis exist: (1) the hypothesis-based approach (based on prior knowledge regarding the current understanding of dietary components and their health relation), (2) the exploratory approach (solely relying on dietary intake data), and (3) the hybrid approach (a combination of both approaches). During the recent past, complementary approaches for DP analysis have emerged both conceptually and methodologically. Method We have summarized the recent developments that include incorporating the Treelet transformation method as a complementary exploratory approach in a narrative review. Results Uses, peculiarities, strengths, limitations, and scope of recent developments in DP analysis are outlined. Next, the narrative review gives an overview of the literature that takes into account potential relevant dietary-related factors, specifically the metabolome and the gut microbiome in DP analysis. Then the review deals with the aspect of data processing that is needed prior to DP analysis, particularly when dietary data arise from assessment methods other than the long-established food frequency questionnaire. Lastly, potential opportunities for upcoming DP analysis are summarized in the outlook. Conclusion Biological factors like the metabolome and the microbiome are crucial to understand diet-disease relationships. Therefore, the inclusion of these factors in DP analysis might provide deeper insights.

The model transformation from Computation Independent Model (CIM) to Platform Independent Model (PIM) level is one of the crucial and difficult points in the implementation process of model-driven Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. For achieving the semantic conforming transformation between these two abstract modeling levels in Model Driven Architecture (MDA), a model transformation method based on ontology technology was proposed, which was a semi-automatic and general method. Firstly, the existing problems of model transformation from CIM level to PIM level in current studies were analyzed. Then, a model transformation framework based on ontology was built, the basic concepts relating to ontology were defined, and the whole architecture was described. After that, the transformation method was researched from two parts, the discovering of mapping rules and the occurrence of model transformation, which included the discovering technology of mapping rules based on similarity and the working principles of model transformation generator. Finally, a model transformation example was provided for validating the practicability and feasibility of proposed theories.

The mechanical errors in a mobile waveguide slot array antenna will finally influence the electromagnetic performances. Hence it is necessary to understand the relationship between them, which requires mechanical-electromagnetic analyses. The 3D models in both mechanical analysis and electromagnetic analysis are greatly different. They need a precise connection and transformation. The paper proposes an effective 3D model transformation method. From 3D geometric model to 3D mechanical model, and then to 3D electromagnetic model, the precise connection and transformation can be finished. It can be used to increase the analysis precision of a complex waveguide slot array antenna.

In this paper, we present a hybrid-based model transformation, according to the Architecture Driven Modernization (ADM) approach, intended for getting UML (Unified Modeling Language) models from the PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) code. This latter has been done by offering a tool support for automated generation of UML platform independent models from PHP ASTM (Abstract Syntax Tree Metamodel) representations, which are specific platform models. The model transformation rules are expressed in ATL (Atlas Transformation Language), which is a widely used model transformation language based on the hybrid approach. This work aims to fill the gap between the web-based applications maintenance, especially PHP-based implementations, and the model transformation processes in the ADM context.
