Main aim of the presented paper is the theoretical analysis and experimental verification of the transformation parameters for the new type of nonhomogeneously poled ring transformer. The input part is poled in the thickness direction and output part in the radial direction. Two transformer geometries are studied — the input part is at inner ring segment, or it is at the outer ring segment. The optimum electrode size aspect ratios have been found experimentally as [Formula: see text] for the ring with aspect ratio [Formula: see text]. The fundamental as well as higher overtone resonances were studied for the transformation ratio, the optimum resistive load, efficiency and no-load transformation ratio. Higher overtones have better transformation parameters compared to the fundamental resonance. The new type ring transformer exhibits very high transformation ratios up to 200 under no-load and up to 13.4 under a high efficiency of 97% at the optimum load conditions of 10 [Formula: see text]. Strong electric field gradient at the output circuit is applicable for the electrical discharge generation.

Abstract The new topology of three-winding welding transformer is proposed. Each secondary winding is connected in parallel through the separate bridge rectifier to the welding arc. The main feature of the proposed device is parallel working of two secondary windings with different rated voltage. The advantage is nonlinear transformation ratio of current that provides unprecedented power efficiency. The self- and mutual leakage inductances, which are important in power conversion, are calculated by 2D FEA model. The operational current of the device is modelled numerically via P-Spice simulator. The proposed topology is up to 30% more power effective than conventional welding transformer provided that the leakage inductances of primary and secondary windings are correctly fitted. This transformer is used for manual arc welding

The effects of aging temperature and aging time on properties of Cu-2.1Ni-0.5Si -0.2Zr-0.05Cr (wt.%) alloy were studied. The transformation ratio of new phase in Cu-2.1Ni-0.5Si-0.2Zr-0.05Cr alloy was calculated when aging at 400°C, 450°C and 500°C by measuring electrical conductivity, the relation between the electrical conductivity and the quantity of new phase. The Avrami-equation of phase transformation kinetics and the Avrami-equation of electrical conductivity during aging were established for Cu-2.1Ni-0.5Si-0.2Zr-0.05Cr alloy, on the basis of linear relationship between the electric conductivity and the volume fraction of precipitates. The calculated values of electrical conductivity well consistent with those of experiment can provide reference on the alloy of production process. The characteristics of precipitates in the alloy after solution treatment and cold rolling were established, and the results show the precipitate was δ-Ni2Si phase.

Computer based initial stage classification and detection of breast cancer tumor must be taken as one of the most important parameter to detect cancer in order to assist radiologist. In this paper an overview of current development of computer based detection system has been reviewed. The abnormalities identification and classification based on texture feature and shape of tumor, statistically diagnostic parameters (mean, mode, standard deviation, median etc.), Entropy based, Elliptical Normalized Circumference (ENC), C-means, K-means, Watershed Transformation, Ratio of Perimeter:Area (P :A), Ratio of major axis:minor axis (L:S) and Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) have been presented. In this paper the accuracy of the result obtained by various techniques such as texture based classification (80%), statistical parameters based classification (70%), shape based classification (86%), CBIR based classification (60%), etc. are presented. The various imaging techniques and dedicated databases publicly available for the cancer research work have been listed, discussed and reported in this paper.

Traditional voltage regulating means, for example, change the transformation ratio of on-load tap-changing transformer, switch on/off parallel compensation capacitor etc, could not solve transient voltage drop effectively due to slow response speed and inaccurate control. SVC and SVG adopt power electronic device that may be turned on/off at high speed and instantaneous reactive power theory, could output huge reactive power within very short time smoothly, so they are capable to suppress transient voltage drop. This paper analyzes the principles of SVC and SVG to suppress transient voltage drop theoretically, studies their characteristics in this respect through simulation, puts forward precautions for both devices to further suppress transient voltage drop according to the simulation result.

Based on good processing property of two-dimentional ultrasonic vibration assisted grinding (TUVAG), phase transformation in the grinding surface of nanozirconia toughened alumina ceramics (ZTA ceramics) is studied by XRD analysis. Experimental results show different processing method and grinding depth may lead to surface phase transformation of ZTA ceramics. Under the same grinding parameters, phase transformation ratio of grinding surface under TUVAG is higher than that under diamond grinding (DG), and its phase transformation ratio increases with the increasing of grinding depth. Phase transformation ratio can effectively inhibit generation and expansion of microcracks of grinding surface.
