The potential of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) is playing increasing role in various pedagogical contexts. The necessity to integrate technologies in learning enhances educators’ digital competences is constantly highlighted in education policy documents European Union and national strategic documents and recommendations. Following the advance of digital technologies, the State Border Guard College of Latvia is constantly looking after innovations in ICT and education contexts. Since 2011 Specialized English language e-learning course for border guards is being implemented, other professional e-learning courses are being systematically introduced, currently 8 specialised qualification courses are available, on average 300 border guards graduate e-learning courses annually. Having in mind the continuous advancement of ICT in education contexts as well as the strategic approach of the State Border Guard College to continue the development of e-learning systems author of this article intends to describe the system of e-learning used in border guards’ training, explore and summarize the theory and best practices on using ICT in pedagogical context, educators’ roles in development and implementation of e-learning courses.

The objective assessment of the development level of information and communications technology (ICT) in education can support the government in formulating and implement ICT policies. The article first introduced the Entire-Array-Polygon (EAP) indicator method and then designed an evaluation indicator system which containing five first indicators and 31 secondary indicators. Finally, using the questionnaire survey data of 13 cities in Province W as an example, the EAP indicator method was used to carry out on the evaluation of ICT development level. The study drew the following conclusions: EAP indicator method can objectively assess the development level of ICT; the overall development level of ICT in the 13 cities in Province W is average and above, and most of them are level II. When using the EAP indicator method to assess the development level of ICT, experts do not need to determine the indicator's weight. Also, this method presents the evaluation results more concisely and intuitively, so it can be promoted as an essential method of evaluating on the development level of ICT in education.

In the article theoretical and methodological principles of digital humanistic pedagogy – the science about the laws of creating a positive integrated educational reality as a result of the convergence of physical and virtual (created using ICT) training spaces (environments) are determined. Based on the use of modern ICT learning activity (formal, nonformal and informal) is at the intersection of two worlds: the real and the virtual. Methodology and research methods of classical pedagogy require review and improvement in the context of current realities of the educational process, needs and interests of all its subjects. The development of digital humanities in the international educational space is analyzed; the content of the new field of pedagogical knowledge as part of digital humanistic is outlined; research methods and directions of current scientific research are defined.

Creation and promotion of the site is one of way to implement of ICT in education. To build modern sites and large portals, to avoid the process of content creation and management tools, when new content is added, dynamic model for page building is used. The article deals with means and methods of dynamic page template in SharePoint. Since all institutions are reaffirming the importance of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) in education, but did you have this in mind when evaluating universities, Is reflected in the indicators for evaluation In Spain, as in other neighboring countries, universities are undergoing an institutional evaluation process. The catalog of indicators is a fundamental part of the assessment process. This paper is a brief analysis of the catalog of indicators proposed by the University Coordination Council in relation to its ability to measure the incorporation of ICT in universities.
