Purpose Developing agility and innovativeness as dynamic capabilities are important for firms to sustain their competitive advantage in today’s global economy. The purpose of this paper is to develop and empirically test a framework to investigate how the supply chain agility and innovativeness are achieved through IT integration and trust in members of supply chain and how these, in turn, can enhance firms’ competitive advantage. Design/methodology/approach This research employs a survey method and data are collected from senior managers working in the supply chain or IT area. The model and hypotheses are tested utilizing data from 204 usable Taiwan manufacturing firms via structural equations modeling methodology. Findings The study demonstrates that both IT integration and trust in supply chain members significantly enhance supply chain agility and innovativeness, which in turn positively affect firm’s competitive advantage. The results indicate that IT integration and trust are antecedents and major joint partnership resources for improving supply chain agility and innovativeness. Research limitations/implications Data are collected from manufacturing industry in Taiwan and single respondent from each firm, the generalizability of current findings to other industries or countries should require additional investigation. Practical implications The study suggests that a firm should focus on IT integration and trust in supply chain members to achieve supply chain agility and innovativeness. To take advantage of supply chain agility and innovativeness, through maximizing firm’s competitive advantage, firms should continually adapt to the fast changing business environment and search for creative ways to satisfy new market needs. Originality/value Given the attention paid to supply chain agility and innovativeness in terms of importance to responding to business uncertainty and competitiveness, and more recently, as important capabilities in managing supply chain management, this paper investigates how IT integration and trust can contribute to supply chain agility and innovativeness. Provide evidence regarding the impact of IT integration and trust on agility of supply chains, innovativeness and competitive advantage.

Recently, as IT Compliance becomes more diverse, companies have to take a great amount of effort to comply with it and prepare countermeasures. Especially, E-Discovery is also one of the most notable compliances for IT and law. In order to minimize the time and cost for E-Discovery, many service systems and solutions using the state-of-the-art technology have been competitively developed. Among them, Cloud Computing is one of the most exclusive skills as a computing infrastructure for E-Discovery Service. Unfortunately, these products actually do not cover all kinds of E-Discovery works and have many drawbacks as well as considerable limitations. This paper, therefore, proposes a new type of E-Discovery Service Structure based on Cloud Computing called EDaaS(E-Discovery as a Service) to make the best usage of its advantages and overcome the limitations of the existing E-Discovery solutions. EDaaS enables E-Discovery participants to smoothly collaborate by removing constraints on working places and minimizing the number of direct contact with target systems. What those who want to use the EDaaS need is only a network device for using the Internet. Moreover, EDaaS can help to reduce the waste of time and human resources because no specific software to install on every target system is needed and the relatively exact time of completion can be obtained from it according to the amount of data for the manpower control. As a result of it, EDaaS can solve the litigant?s cost problem.

Information Technology (IT) capabilities play a fundamental role on process innovation and organizational performance. Likewise, corporate entrepreneurship (CE) plays a vital role in the improvement of performance, as the employees' profile is determinant for the success of these organizations. Previous literature relating to IT and CE reveals how little attention has been paid to relationship between these constructs, and what exists is only partial. This research conceptualizes the relationship between IT capabilities, CE, and innovation on the organizational performance. It is intended as a contribution to the ongoing conceptual development of this area and provides initial guidance for future empirical evidence. Thus, the authors advance a synthesized conceptual model in order to evaluate the influence of IT capabilities (IT flexibility, IT integration and IT alignment) to the CE process, through innovation on the organizational performance. The authors create an initial construction of the scenery grounded in past literature, which is refined and reinforced into a conceptual model advancing in theoretical development in the field. Some future research and implications are discussed.
