Economic development has not only led to the steady development of the gross national economy, but also provided a fundamental guarantee for the life of the residents at this stage. However, with the rapid development of economy, people’s attention to hidden safety problems has gradually shifted from big problems to “small details” of food safety. At the same time, in order to reduce the health problems of consumers in the process of eating products, we should start from the source of food, and use microbial technology in the current food safety testing, so as to fundamentally improve the quality of food safety. At present, PCR, impedance, ATP bioluminescence, lamp and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay are widely used. In this paper, the role of microbial detection technology was described, and the application of microbial detection technology in food safety detection was analyzed in depth, hoping to provide a reference for ensuring food safety through the promotion of microbial detection technology.

Food not only provides nutrition to people, maintains vitality, but also it is related to people’s health. In view of the fact that current food safety issues are still common, it is very important to do a good job in food safety testing. Biotech crop food is a product that can be directly consumed. In order to improve people’s trust in such products, scientific biotechnology testing methods can improve the efficiency and quality of food testing and ensure people eat food safely. This paper will analyze the basic types of food testing technology, and then introduce the application of several key detection technologies in biotech crop food testing, and discuss the shortcomings in current food testing, and do a brief overview of future development on the biotech crop food testing technology.

Covid-19 detection in food is an effective solution to ensure the accurate detection rate of Covid-19. The difficulties and detection methods of food virus safety detection and the feasibility of digital PCR detection technology are analyzed. The main parameters and characteristics of dPCR technology and other PCR technologies are compared. The application of dPCR technology in the detection of food viruses and pathogenic bacteria, the application of dPCR technology in the preparation and purity verification of Covid-19 RNA reference material, and the steps and methods of dPCR technology in food testing Covid-19 were expounded. Compared with traditional detection methods, digital PCR technology has great advantages in virus detection limit and stability. dPCR will develop towards high flux and automation, and achieve the absolute quantification of multiple target sequences at low cost. It will help to play a crucial role in the detection of covid-19 in food.

Chicken infectious anemia virus (CIAV) causes the atrophy of bone marrow hematopoietic and lymphoid tissues in chicks, leading to huge economic losses all over the world. The using of attenuated vaccine contaminated with CIAV increased the mortality and the pathogenicity of other diseases in many farms. However, it is difficult to detect the CIAV contamination by general detection technology due to the extremely low dose of CIAV in vaccines. In this study, we established a new method called droplet digital Polymerase Chain Reaction (ddPCR) to detect CIAV contamination of vaccines more sensitively and accurately. The lowest detection limitation of this method is 2.4 copies of CIAV plasmid or CIAV contamination at 0.1 EID50/1000 feathers in vaccines without any positive signals of other viruses. Besides, the sensitivity of ddPCR is 100 times greater than that of conventional PCR and 10 times greater than that of real-time PCR. The ddPCR technique is more sensitive and more intuitive. Therefore, it could be valuable for the detection of CIAV contamination in vaccines.
