Based on weighted agent sodium chloride, this study introduces a high density and high temperature tolerant fracturing fluid. According to the evaluation of the effect of weighted agent on the performance of base fluid and crosslinked fluid, conclusions can be got as follows. Introduction of weighted agent provides an auxiliary viscosity enhancement of the base fluid to some extent. Meanwhile, the crosslinked time is prolonged and gel breaking becomes more difficult owing to the interference effect of metal ions exerted on the crosslinking process between molecular chains of guar and crosslinker. Moreover, the experiments show that the novel fluid system has a strong tolerance of high temperature and high shearing rate. The viscosity of the fluid system with 15% weighted agent sodium chloride can maintain 160 mPa•s after 120 min shearing at 170 s-1under the temperature of 150 °C. The excellent performance of the fluid system ensures it has a good stimulation effect in the fracturing treatment in the deep and high temperature formation stimulation treatment.

Petroleum industry is focusing on HPHT reservoir. In high-temperature conditions, fracturing fluids especially need to be stable and induce minimum damage, and have good proppant transport capabilities. In order to overcome these problems, a novel high density fracturing fluid system has been developed whose density can reach up to 1.21 g/cm3. This paper summarizes a study on formulating weighted agent, and extensive studies were also conducted to determine temperature stability and anti-shear properties and compatibility with additives.

According to the low permeability reservoir, fracturing transformation has some requirements on fracturing fluid system with low cost, low damage, and high temperature resistant. First of all, we are able to begin from the concentration of thickener and cross-linking system and then see Synthesis of high temperature resistant polymers as thickening agent. In addition, Non metal ion compounds are introduced as cross-linking agent. Moreover, we will have a performance evaluation on the fracturing fluid system which has been formed, obtaining the best receipe with ultra low concentration and high temperature resistance (calculate according to the mass concentration ):0.075% thickener agent +0.015%pH value regulator +0.25% cross-linking agent +0.01% coagulant +0.4% cleanup agent. This fracturing fluid system has a lot of excellent characteristics such as low density, low cost, low residue, low fluid loss, no metal ion and so on . It also cuts down the use-cost of fracturing fluid and reduces the damage to the Stratum towards which fracturing fluid has. The favorable Cross-linking system fill the gap that we use the non metal ion as cross-linking agent in our present fracturing fluid system at home and abroad.
