Contact surfaces preparation before cold cladding is one of the most important technological operations. A joint plastic components deformation of the of bimetal 1 according to OST 3-6648-91 and bimetal 3 according to OST 3-6649-91 CuZn10 brass - C22E steel - CuZn10 brass (according to EN standard) should be performed with the strongest possible compression to obtain the required layers connection strength, ensuring strip winding into a roll without delamination. We investigated influence of some factors on the bond strength of bimetal layers: surface hardening of contact surfaces, presence of an underlayer on a steel base, contact surfaces micro geometry, components heating temperature in the deformation zone, diffusion annealing after cladding and a bimetal layers thicknesses ratio effect. Cold cladding technological recommendations have been developed for manufacturing of bimetal 1 according to OST 3-6648-91 and bimetal 3 according to OST 3-6649-91 (CuZn10 brass - C22E steel - CuZn10 brass).

The stress evolution during diffusion annealing of Ni-Cu bilayers (individual layer thicknesses of 50 nm) was investigated employing ex-situ and in-situ X-ray diffraction measurements. Annealing at relatively low homologous temperatures (about 0.3 - 0.4 Tm) for durations up to about 100 hours results in considerable diffusional intermixing, as demonstrated by Auger-electron spectroscopy investigations (in combination with sputter-depth profiling). In addition to thermal stresses due to differences of the coefficients of thermal expansion of layers and substrate, tensile stress con-tributions in the sublayers arise during the diffusion anneals. The obtained stress data have been discussed in terms of possible mechanisms of stress generation. The influence of diffusion on stress development in the sublayers of the diffusion couple during heating and isothermal annealing was investigated by comparing stress changes in the bilayer system with corresponding results obtained under identical conditions for single layers of the components in the bilayer system. The specific residual stresses that emerge due to diffusion between the (sub)layers in the bilayer could thereby be identified.

To lay the foundation of the automation for line heating forming, a method for heating path generation and simulation for ship plate steel base on STL mode was proposed in this paper. The line heating path was generated by slicing the STL model of the steel plate using a series of planes, and the models of the heating equipment of ship plate steel were build, and the heating process of ship plate steel can be simulated by inputting the models of the heating equipment into the simulation system that was built by using VC++ and OpenGL. The case study shows that the method can primely solve the inconvenient of manual heating and the whole heating process can be observed by the simulation so that the heating process can be made a reasonable monitoring, and the heating path generation and simulation software are runs stably and reliably.

Abstract In the article the results of set of experiments concerning the changes in microstructure of plasma sprayed Al2O3, Cr2O3 and W2C coatings of tribological test pieces obtained with use of locally applied laser beam treatment are given and discussed. The improvement of sprayed on coating layer adhesion to the steel base was ascertained and evaluated. The possibilities of the application of the described technology for development and production of slide elements of tribological joints are noticed.

The article presents the results of a study of the influence of inertial forces on the adhesion of the coating to the external surface of a body of revolution during thermal spraying. A mathematical apparatus is proposed for calculating the inertia forces, acting on a particle of coating, applied to the outer surface of the bodies of revolution. As a result, dependencies have been revealed that allow predicting the adhesion strength of the coating with the steel base during thermal spraying.
