We propose a mathematical model of \textit{quantum} transistor in which bandgap engineering corresponds to the tuning of Dirac potential in the complex four-vector form. The transistor consists of $n$-relativistic spin qubits moving in \textit{classical} external electromagnetic fields. It is shown that the tuning of the direction of the external electromagnetic fields generates perturbation on the potential temporally and spatially, determining the type of quantum logic gates. The theory underlying of this scheme is on the proposal of the intertwining operator for Darboux transfomations on one-dimensional Dirac equation amalgamating the \textit{vector-quantum gates duality} of Pauli matrices. Simultaneous transformation of qubit and energy can be accomplished by setting the $\{\textit{control, cyclic}\}$-operators attached on the coupling between one-qubit quantum gate: the chose of \textit{cyclic}-operator swaps the qubit and energy simultaneously, while \textit{control}-operator ensures the energy conservation.

This paper investigated, by one-dimensional modelling, the effects of reverse polarisation of an electromagnetic field, generated by an amplitude modulation radio antenna, on the efficiency of a silicon PV cell. Through a simulation, the effects of both the incidence angle and the electromagnetic field magnitude on the power output of the PV cell are analyzed. The power output curves against the junction dynamic velocity are used to find the junction dynamic velocity at the equilibrium, the maximum power output, and the efficiency of the PV cell. The results have shown that the presence of important electromagnetic fields in the neighborhood of a silicon PV cell decreases its performance.

Motivated by the Dirac idea that fundamental constants are dynamical variables and by conjectures on quantum structure of space–time at small distances, we consider the possibility that Planck constant [Formula: see text] is a time depending quantity, undergoing random Gaussian fluctuations around its measured constant mean value, with variance [Formula: see text] and a typical correlation timescale [Formula: see text]. We consider the case of propagation of a free particle and a one-dimensional harmonic oscillator coherent state, and show that the time evolution in both cases is different from the standard behavior. Finally, we discuss how interferometric experiments or exploiting coherent electromagnetic fields in a cavity may put effective bounds on the value of [Formula: see text].

Abstract Nonlinear corrections on electromagnetic fields in vacuum have been expected. In this study, we have theoretically considered nonlinear Maxwell’s equations in a one-dimensional cavity for a classical light and external static electromagnetic fields. A general solution for the electromagnetic corrective components including that of a longitudinal standing wave was derived after a linearization. The main purpose is to give a detailed feature of the previously reported resonant behavior [Shibata, Euro. Phys. J. D 74:215 (2020)], such as the effect of external static fields and the polarization fluctuation. These results favor the development of new and effective method for experiment. Graphic abstract
