AbstractThe productivity of a deep drawing process strongly relies on its robustness as well as the experience of the machine operator. Steadily increasing requirements regarding weight, design and efficiency lead to a production operating increasingly closer to the process limits, making it more challenging to ensure a high robustness of the process. Minimal process fluctuations caused by disturbances such as varying material properties or changing tribological conditions may negatively affect the process due to deteriorated product properties as well as an increased risk of scrap. Thus, a target-oriented adjustment of available parameters by the machine operator becomes more difficult, and an increased knowledge about the causes of defects is more important. In the past, several approaches with different combinations of sensors and actuators have been investigated to enable a stable process window based on a control system. This paper presents a method to address the need for a more robust process by developing an operator assistance system that enables the identification of the component state and provides decision support to the machine operator. The methodological approach includes a thorough process analysis to evaluate the expediency of such a system and to make a reasonable preselection of sensors in order to avoid unnecessary costs.

Literature on suicide bereavement has been mostly quantitative and focused on differences between suicide bereavement and other types of. In addition, existing research indicates that those bereaved by suicide (e.g., survivors) are at an increased risk for suicide. This study’s purpose was to analyze previously published stories of six survivors, using content analysis, to answer the following question: What can we learn from the experiences of these storytellers bereaved by suicide about the grieving process? Analysis of the stories revealed a grief trajectory that included sailing down the lazy river; (mostly) unexpected rapids; getting to shore before the waterfall; waking in the ocean of why; righting the ship and rescuing others. Implications of this study include that the trajectory identified will be a useful guide for those helping people bereaved by suicide including clinicians, volunteers, paraprofessionals, friends, and family.

Abstract Background Osteoporosis is a skeletal disease that is associated with a reduction in bone mass and microstructures and deterioration of bone tissue. It is also associated with an increased risk of fracture that is the most important complication of osteoporosis. Osteoporosis and consequent fractures not only have a major impact on the health and quality of life, but also impose a significant economic burden on the health system of countries. Objective Since the population of many countries around the world is aging, the incidence of fractures due to osteoporosis is increasing too. The knowledge about costs and economic aspects of osteoporosis plays an important role in making policies and planning measures for the prevention and management of this disease, hence, this study systematically investigated the available evidence on the costs associated with osteoporosis worldwide. Methods Considering language, year of publication, and the research question, electronic searches were conducted in multiple databases and different sources. After selecting articles based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, the data were extracted and the results were summarized. To prevent bias, the whole procedure was performed by three researchers. Results Of a total of 1989 papers, 28 papers were included in the study on the basis of inclusion criteria. Among the selected studies, 13 papers reported direct and indirect costs. Based on the data extracted from the mentioned studies, the mean age of people with osteoporotic fractures was 50 years, with the highest costs associated with hip fractures. Conclusion There is a paucity of studies investigating the burden of osteoporosis in the world. The available studies indicate a lack of standardization in the methodological approach of assessing the economic burden of this disease. It is necessary to highlight the importance of studies on osteoporosis to inform policymakers and enhance health care planning.

Purpose. The aim of the article is substantiation of the methodical approach to the calculation of the integrated index of product competitiveness and assessment of the level of competitiveness of corn for grain, winter rape seeds and colza of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine. Methodology of research. The following methods are used in the research process: analysis and synthesis - to study the indicators of cultivation and sale of corn for grain, winter rape and colza in agricultural enterprises of Ukraine; abstract and logical - for formulation of conclusions and generalizations; cartographic - to analyse the competitiveness index of maize for grain, winter rape and colza. Findings. A set of indicators for calculating the integrated index of competitiveness of the studied crops: yield, sales price of 1 quintal of production, total cost of production, sales, market share, profit per 1 quintal of sales, profit per 1 ha of sown area, marketability level, level profitability of production. The competitiveness of corn for grain, winter rape and colza grown by agricultural enterprises in the context of the regions of Ukraine was assessed. A scale for assessing the competitiveness of corn for grain, winter rape and colza was developed. Originality. A method for assessing the level of competitiveness of corn for grain, winter rape and colza, on the basis of which it is possible to form effective ways to increase it, is proposed. Practical value. The proposed methodological approach to assessing the competitiveness of corn for grain, winter rape and colza of agricultural enterprises allows to analyse and substantiate the results from large data sets, take into account the impact of stimulants and destimulators of selected traits on the final result, combine and use criteria and indicators . Key words: corn for grain, rapeseed, colza, assessment of product competitiveness, integrated competitiveness index, agricultural enterprises.

Due to contact and misuse of water drainage channels, schistosomiasis has spread and become a constant concern in northeastern Brazil. The aim of this study was to monitor human cases of Schistosomiasis mansoni and the breeding areas of the snail intermediate host Biomphalaria glabrata through spatial analysis in a community named Invasão do Canal do Guaxinim, located in Barra dos Coqueiros City in an endemic coastal part of the state of Sergipe, Brazil. This research was performed as a cross-sectional epidemiological study conducted with parasitological and malacological surveys. To verify the spatial analysis, a two-year spatial point pattern analysis was performed by means of Kernel intensity estimation using TerraView software 4.2.2. A schistosomiasis prevalence reduction from 8.1% (2013) to 4.9% (2014) was observed but mild infection prevailed in adolescents and/or young adults during the two-year study. In malacological research, 387 specimens of snails of the genus B. glabrata were collected and all were negative with regard to schistosomiasis. Spatial analysis showed a strong, spatial trend of increased transmission risk areas north and south of the community, both in 2013 and 2014. In Invasão do Canal do Guaxinim itself, the increased risk was only seen in the northern part. When combined, the human and the malacological spatial analyses constituted an important methodological approach for monitoring and controlling this parasitic disease.

This paper provides an analysis of a co-extrusion process. The compound consists of the sleeve material, aluminum, and the core material, magnesium. It is imperative to produce impeccable compounds without cracks in the interface. Therefore, a simple indicating value for damaging effects during the process is necessary. In the numerical simulation the compound quality is noticeable by the current macro mechanical criterion of axial strain difference. A statistical analysis verifies this criterion as an adequate quality criterion. By means of this criterion it is possible to define a stable process window for the co-extrusion process.
