With Pro/Toolkit of Pro/E and ADO(ActiveX Data Object) database technology, part parametric CAD system is developed and an successful instance is introduced in the paper. In the CAD system, interface between Pro/E and VC++6.0 is created correctly using Pro / Toolkit and user interface for part parametric designing can be achieved by means of dll( dll dynamic link) library built in VC++6.0 .Meanwhile ADO database is applied in the CAD system to manage all part parameters and thus part revising and updating can be realized quickly. The developing method in the CAD system not only is applicable to typical mechanical part designing but also be helpful to establishing standard part library.

Using Visual Basic as the development platform, the agricultural products traceability code system was constructed based on the PDF417 two-dimensional bar code technology through the embedded c++ dynamic link library (DLL) in the paper. The system implemented the expression of the related information for agricultural products origin, agricultural products, certification types, agricultural products processing enterprises, production date, shelf life of agricultural products and so on. Through the effective traceability of agricultural products, the requirements of the consumers to agricultural product quality were satisfied by the system.

Abstract Pluvial flooding in urban areas is characterized by a gradually varying inundation process caused by surcharge of the sewer manholes. Therefore urban flood models need to simulate the interaction between the sewer network and the overland flow in order to accurately predict the flood inundation extents. In this work we present a methodology for linking 2D overland flow models with the storm sewer model SWMM 5. SWMM 5 is a well-known free open-source code originally developed in 1971. The latest major release saw its structure re-written in C ++ allowing it to be compiled as a command line executable or through a series of calls made to function inside a dynamic link library (DLL). The methodology developed herein is written inside the same DLL in C + +, and is able to simulate the bi-directional interaction between both models during simulation. Validation is done in a real case study with an existing urban flood coupled model. The novelty herein is that the new methodology can be added to SWMM without the need for editing SWMM's original code. Furthermore, it is directly applicable to other coupled overland flow models aiming to use SWMM 5 as the sewer network model.

Some techniques of controlling remotely the digital storage oscilloscope are proposed including VISA, VXIplug&play drivers, TVC and IVI-COM drivers. By means of TekVISA, several application development environments can be used to develop functions of the digital storage oscilloscope. The programming language of Visual C++ is used to develop software. With the help of TekVISA and the dynamic link library, remote control to the digital storage oscilloscope through network is completed. All operations to the digital storage oscilloscope including parameters setup, data acquisition, waveform acquisition and storage, data processing are implemented in a remote place. The results show that the techniques of remote control are convenient and efficient and fit for experiments of scientific research and practical projects.

The use of tools has always been necessarysince the beginning of computing, due to repetitive tasks or due to complexity when they were made manually. Because of this, there were several kindsof development tools over the time. Nowadays, CASE tools can generate severalkindsof artifacts suchasforms, source code, documentation and diagrams. However, the report building process is still done by the developer, where he needs to create layout and to add the items what he wants, assembling the report (artifact). This paper describes a tool that generates this software artifact, through the manipulation of objects in the Crystal Report dynamic link library (used for reporting purposes). To generate the artifact templates are used as a base from which visual information are copied, which simplify the definition and improve reuse. The developed architecture is modular and allows the tool to be attached by application developer or to work in conjunction with CASE generators

New software has been developed to make it possible to control the CM microscope under Windows. The software structure is such that all programs communicate through a dynamic link library CMREMOTE.DLL and communication program SECS2.EXE with the microscope (Fig. 1). Due to this structure, the amount of memory required is minimised since functional duplication is avoided, and the remote control handling is simplified because the user programs do not need to handle the complicated communication protocol but instead use simple functions such as Get Alignment and CompuStage Goto Position. Several sets of programs are finished, with further additions planned to replace currently available software running under MS-DOS.Available at the moment is the Windows CM Remote Control package which contains the Windows CM Monitor, a program to read alignments, stigmator settings and mode settings from microscope and store them in a file on the PC. With the file are stored an operator name and comments to allow identification who stored the data and for what reason.

It discusses the development method of the direct slicing software using on three-dimensional model which can run in the Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 4.0 environment. The author uses the secondary development tool Pro/TOOLKIT, which is used in Visual Studio 2008, to write the dynamic link library files which can run in the Pro/E environment with VC++ language. This paper provides the detailed analysis and discussion about the problems encountered in the course, and gives out the capable solutions.
