Thordon is a new liner material used widely in water-lubricated bearings in virtue of its shockproof characteristic, high load and wear resistance. The category of materials used in water-lubricated bearings was briefly outlined and tribological characteristics of most of the materials were compared in the paper. The defects of the traditional water-lubricated bearing materials were listed and the advantage of the Thordon bearing was presented. The development status and the tribological characteristics of the water-lubricated Thordon bearings were studied. The application prospects of the water-lubricated Thordon bearings were introduced in the end of the paper.

Dry efficient separation of moist fine coal is an important part of the development of clean coal technology. This paper reviewed the research situation of the dry screening theory for moist fine coal and summarized the development status of dry screening equipment. The results show that the moist fine materials have complex physical properties and the theory of dry deep screening needs further improved. Flip-flow screen is a kind of screening equipment with wide application prospects, which can well solve the dry deep screening problem of the moist fine materials.

Die vergangenen Jahre haben der bundesdeutschen Pflege einen unerwarteten und überaus großen Entwicklungssprung beschert: binnen Kürze entstand eine Vielzahl von Pflegestudiengängen. Zusätzlich hielt Pflegewissenschaft Einkehr in die Hochschulen und begann der Aufbau von Pflegeforschung, womit wichtige Voraussetzungen dafür geschaffen sind, Pflege als wissenschaftliche Disziplin zu entwickeln. In dem vorliegenden Beitrag wird eine erste Bilanzierung vorgenommen und der erreichte Entwicklungsstand im Bereich der Pflegepraxis, der Pflegestudiengänge, der Wissenschaftsentwicklung und Pflegeforschung betrachtet. Dabei wird gezeigt, daß – trotz der Vielzahl in den letzten Jahren erreichter Erfolge – eine ganze Reihe weiterer Aufgaben der Bearbeitung harren. Dazu gehört, das nach wie vor vorhandene Vakuum auf der Ebene der Wissenschaftsentwicklung zu füllen, den Ausbau von Pflegeforschung voranzutreiben und geeignete Bedingungen für die Förderung von wissenschaftlichem Nachwuchs zu schaffen.
