This paper introduces the Working principle of AIS, emphatically introduces the main function and the application of AIS in ship collision prevention, illustrates the function of each module and the feasibility of making automatic decision, and the development status and application prospect of AIS is preliminary discussed. The AIS information contains almost all the necessary information for ship collision prevention, using the information for collision prevention decision-making, has a high credibility and broad application prospects.

In this paper, two different diameter pneumatic muscle, combined with reconfigurable toggle mechanism, three kinds of press has been innovated, the working principle of the press are introduced, its calculating formulae of output power are also given,and the force amplifier coefficient were compared. The large-diameter pneumatic muscle will be used for the working stroke of the pressure travel, while the small-diameter pneumatic muscle will be used for the return travel.The press can satisfy the requirement of different output force and different structure size, no pollution, adapted to the greening trend, there is broad application prospects.

With the study of internal circulation reactor, we can know more about the improved technology about it working principle and application. Its application in industry has become increasingly mature and widespread. This paper introduces the internal circulation anaerobic reactor, the working principle and technical characteristics, and different areas of application of wastewater treatment within the circulation reactor and its operation instance. The last part is the outlook for the broad application prospects of the internal circulation anaerobic reactor.

Abstract The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge influence in almost all areas of life, affecting societies, economics and health care systems worldwide. The paediatric cardiology community is no exception. As the challenging battle with Covid-19 continues, professionals from the Association for the European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology (AEPC) receive many questions regarding Covid-19 in a Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology setting. The aim of this paper is to present the AEPC position on frequently asked questions based on the most recent scientific data, as well as to frame a discussion on how to take care of our patients during this unprecedented crisis. As the times are changing quickly and information regarding Covid-19 is very dynamic, continuous collection of evidence will help guide constructive decision-making.

According to the statistics of maritime collision accidents over the last five years (2016–2020), 95% of the total maritime collision accidents are caused by human factors. Machine learning algorithms are an emerging approach in judging the risk of collision among vessels and supporting reliable decision-making prior to any behaviors for collision avoidance. As the result, it can be a good method to reduce errors caused by navigators’ carelessness. This article aims to propose an enhanced machine learning method to estimate ship collision risk and to support more reliable decision-making for ship collision risk. In order to estimate the ship collision risk, the conventional support vector machine (SVM) was applied. Regardless of the advantage of the SVM to resolve the uncertainty problem by using the collected ships’ parameters, it has inherent weak points. In this study, the relevance vector machine (RVM), which can present reliable probabilistic results based on Bayesian theory, was applied to estimate the collision risk. The proposed method was compared with the results of applying the SVM. It showed that the estimation model using RVM is more accurate and efficient than the model using SVM. We expect to support the reasonable decision-making of the navigator through more accurate risk estimation, thus allowing early evasive actions.

With soil-rock mixture (SRM) as the object of study and compaction test as the means, the paper studies the compactability of the SRM and analyzes the compactability influencing factors and engineering properties after compaction. Studies show that the soil engineering properties of compacted SRM are greatly improved, so it is a building material with broad application prospects.

This article explores the emotions behind the retributive urge as it applies to the death penalty in the United States. It is argued that the retributive urge is so strong because it engages the most primitive of our emotions, and that these emotions served adaptive purposes over the course of human evolution. Many scholars offended by the retributive instinct insist that we must put emotions aside when discussing the death penalty, even as jurors in death penalty cases, and rely on our rationality. To ask this is to ask what almost all normal people find impossible because the emotions evoked in capital cases (disgust, anger, sympathy for the victim, desire for justice) evolved for the purpose of maintaining group stability and survival by punishing freeloaders. Modern neuroscience has destroyed the traditional notion that rationality and emotion are antagonists. Brain imaging techniques show that they are fully integrated in our brain wiring, and both are engaged in decision making, but when reason and emotion yield conflicting judgments, the latter almost always triumphs. The evolutionary rationales for why emotions conducive to punitive responses for wrongdoers exist are examined.

Quantitative literacy is the ability and confidence in using basic mathematical concepts and calculating operations needed for problem solving, decision making of economic problems and their applications in everyday life. Mastery of basic mathematics is an absolute requirement for achieving good quantitative literacy skills. The aim of this activity was to improve mathematical literacy skills of the students at SMA 8 Bengkulu City. The activities were begun by giving pre-tests to students, preparing of modules, presenting the materials of the modules in classroom, practicing through LKS and post-tests. Several techniques, methods and approaches in number counting operations have been presented in this activity. This activity has provided an increase in quantitative literacy skills in class XI IIS-1 SMA 8 Kota Bengkulu. Even so, the improvement of students' abilities can be said to be less optimal because there are still some questions that cannot be answered by almost all students. Therefore, cooperation and involvement of all parties is needed to improve students' quantitative literacy skills and follow-up activities in an effort to strengthen quantitative literacy skills.

Decision Support System is defined a system intended to support management decision making, Decision making is the main function of a manager or administrator. Decision making activities include identifying problems, finding alternative solutions to problems, evaluating these alternatives and choosing the best decision alternatives. The Vise Kriterijumska Optimazacija Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method is one of the methods used in decision making. To use the decision support system method must have criteria that will be used in the determination, in addition it must determine the level of importance of each criterion. So the decision support system used must also have comprehensive and integrated planning to minimize the level of risk of failure and decision selection

Expression "Development conditions and perspectives" became important for numerous analyses in various industrial and social areas. Several strategic documents and studies in last two decades analysed projects with topics on perspectives of future development in Serbia. Various tools are used for development of such documents, based on recent scientific and numerical solutions, thus providing reliable assessment for strategic decision making. Almost all analyses tried to implement the theories and practical experiences through the prism of "sustainable development", which included establishment of most important sustainability parameters. Analysis and ranking presented in this paper considered the potential of the Stavalj coal deposit, near city of Sjenica in Serbia, and feasibility of construction project of new mine and thermal power plant. Basis for analysis was a hybrid assessment model which takes into account principles of sustainable development. The model incorporates quantified SWOT analysis, which applies to active underground mines in Serbia. Special attention was given to the parameters describing potential for development.
