It is well known that active galactic nuclei (AGN) show various forms of interaction with their host galaxy, in a number of phenomena generally called AGN feedback. In particular, the relativistic plasma jets launched by a fraction of AGN can strongly affect their environment. We present here a study of the [O III] λλ4959,5007 lines in a diverse sample of early evolution stage AGN–specifically narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxies. Radio imaging observations of all of the sources enable a division to jetted and non-jetted sources, and exploiting this we show that the ionized gas properties are significantly influenced by the presence of the jets, as we often find the [O III] lines (blue-)shifted with respect to their restframe wavelength. We also show how the radio morphology and the radio spectral index do not seem to play a role in the origin of the [O III] shifts, thus suggesting that the source inclination is not relevant to the lines displacement. We do not find a strong relation between the [O III] line properties and the bolometric luminosity, suggesting that within our sample radiatively driven outflows do not seem to have a significant contribution to the [O III] line kinematics. We finally suggest that [O III] shifts may be a good proxy to identify the presence of relativistic jets. Additional studies, especially with integral-field spectroscopy, will provide a deeper insight into the relation between jets and their environment in early evolution stage AGN.

AbstractTo address fundamental processes in the solar eruptive phenomena it is important to have imaging-spectroscopy over centimetric-decimetric wave range. The Chinese Spectral Radioheliograph (CSRH) in 0.4-15 GHz range with high time, space and frequency resolutions is being constructed to achieve this goal. The perspectives to open new observational windows on solar flares and CMEs will be achieved by mapping the radio emission from unstable electron populations during the basic processes of energy release. CSRH is located in a radio quiet region in Inner Mongolia of China. The array of CSRH-I in 0.4-2.0 GHz with 40 4.5m antennas has been established and starts test observations. The 60 2m antennas for array of CSRH-II in 2-15 GHz have been mounted and assembled. The progress and current status of CSRH are introduced.

Complex partial seizures are characterized by altered awareness of the self and the environment. Consciousness is retained unless secondary generalization occurs. Apart from the area and automatism patients may also experience odd disturbances of thought, emotion, deza vu, Jamai’s vu. depersonalization, derealization or even vivid hallucination of past experience (experiential phenomena). Here we report an adolescent lady presenting with non-convulsive status epileptics manifesting in the form of mood disorder with grandiose delusions of increased ability and identity as well as erotomania. Radio imaging and EEG revealed an epileptic focus originating from the parieto-temporal region. A new approach to the creation of millimeter-wave radio imaging systems is proposed. This approach is based on the use of an array receiver consisting of a densely packed (pixel size - 4 mm) array of planar mixers located in the focal plane of a quasi-optical objective, with application of the frequency-modulated continuous-wave radar technique. It has been demonstrated that the implementation of the heterodyne type of reception makes it possible to increase the distance range of the array radio imaging system up to ~ 100 m while maintaining the angular resolution at the previous level.
