AbstractLearning style is a crucial element in the academic life of students. It plays a fundamental role in the selection of a suitable teaching method of instruction. The aim of this research paper is the study of the perception of the hybrid learning and students’ learning style. In addition, another objective of the study is to analyze the perception of the hybrid learning in accordance with the learning style. This paper employs quantitative research and the descriptive and comparative methods. The study sample consists of 89 Albanian university students. Data analysis was conducted through SPSS 20 and JASP-0.8.1.2. The statistical analyses utilized in this paper are distribution tables, crossed tabulation, student test, Pearson correlation coefficient, Bayesian Independent Samples T-Test, and One - Way ANOVA. The conclusion of the data analysis shows that most students used the visual learning style in order to study. Students have a positive perception of the hybrid learning. There exists an insignificant statistical correlation between learning styles and the perception of the hybrid learning. The area of study has an impact on the components of the hybrid learning.

Abstract AMT ability is one of the skills that is a priority to be developed in learning mathematics in universities. This research aims to test the effect of hybrid learning and enjoyment learning in improving Advance Mathematical Thinking of prospective teacher students moderated by learning style. This research is a quantitative research that aims to examine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The sample in this study is conducted by purposive sampling based on certain criteria. The research data is obtained by distributing questionnaires to the mathematics education program student at University X in Bandung City. The data collected is analyzed by path analysis assisted by Smart PLS application. Smart PLS analysis in this study is carried out in 2 stages which are the analysis of the outer model and the inner model. Analysis of the inner model is aimed at (1) testing the validity and reliability of the instrument and (2) performing the r-square test to determine the percentage of influence. The test results show that learning enjoyment and hybrid learning have a significant positive effect on advanced mathematics learning. The learning styles in this study have not been able to moderate the relationship between hybrid learning and enjoy learning on Advance Mathematical Thinking. Hybrid learning can be used as an alternative or learning solution in improving advanced mathematical learning.

Most of the distance educational systems consider only little, or no, adaptivity. Personalization according to specific requirements of an individual student is one of the most important features in adaptive educational systems. Considering learning and how to improve a student's performance, these systems must know the way in which an individual student learns best. In this context, this chapter depicts an application of evolutionary algorithms to discover students' learning styles. The approach is mainly based on the non-deterministic and non-stationary aspects of learning styles, which may change during the learning process in an unexpected and unpredictable way. Because of the stochastic and dynamic aspects enclosed in learning process, it is important to gradually and constantly update the student model. In this way, the student model stochastically evolves towards the real student's learning style, considering its fine-tuned strengths. This approach has been tested through computer simulation of students, and promising results have been obtained. Some of them are presented in this chapter.

Hybrid learning refers to the learning style where online components are used to replace some face-to-face elements of the course. In the current era, where COVID-19 pandemic has highly impacted higher education, online and remote forms of learning have become critical success factors to deliver engaging and rich teaching and learning experience to the students. With the partial return of face-to-face interaction with the students this year after easing restrictions, universities have no choice but to offer hybrid learning experience. In the journey towards this type of learning, a transition in both pedagogy and vehicle (tools) is inevitable. Hybrid learning pedagogy has been in literature for many years now and many institutions worldwide have enough experience to run courses and programs as a hybrid model. For the vehicle, a number of tools are necessary to facilitate delivery, but the most important tool is obviously the learning management system (LMS). Canvas LMS is now considered one of the most commonly used electronic learning systems, offering a large number of features and options to make teaching and learning easier and effective for both teachers and students. In this paper, two hybrid learning models are proposed. An example of implementing one of the two models using Canvas LMS and other supporting tools is provided. Anecdotal student feedback has shown that the students were highly engaged and their experience has been improved as a result of the hybrid delivery format.
