In this paper, an environmentally friendly waterborne polyurea (WPUA) emulsion and its corresponding coating were prepared, which was characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). To improve the performance of the coating, we doped sulfonated graphene (SG) into WPUA to prepare composite coating (SG/WPUA). SG can be uniformly dispersed in WPUA emulsion and is stable for a long time (28 days) without delamination. The water resistance of the composite coating with 0.3 wt.% SG nanofiller was improved; the water contact angle (WCA) result was SG/WPUA (89°) > WPUA (48.5°), and water absorption result was SG/WPUA (2.90%) < WPUA (9.98%). After water immersion treatment, SEM observation revealed that the SG/WPUA film only generated enlarged microcracks (100 nm) instead of holes (150–400 nm, WPUA film). Polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) tests show that SG nanosheets with low doping content (0.3 wt.%) are more conducive to the corrosion resistance of WPUA coatings, and the model was established to explain the mechanism.

In this paper, the terbium -doped nano-HA powders with strong fluorescence was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and its crystal structure, morphology and fluorescent properties are characterized by XRD, TEM, XPS, ICP and PL spectroscopy. Results showed that with the doping concentration of Tb3+increasing, the aspect ratio of Tb3+-doped HA particles decreased, while the fluorescence intensity excited by ultraviolet ray at 272 nm is significantly enhanced. With pH values increased from 6.5 to 10.0, the aspect ratio of Tb3+-doped HA decreased greatly, and the morphology of nano-Tb:HA particles changes from rod particles to equiaxed particles and the actual doping content and the fluorescence intensity tends to increase correspondingly, which can be explained that under alkaline solution, Tb3+was more easier entering the HA crystal, and the Tb3+would substitute the Ca2+ in both hydroxyapatite Ca(Ⅰ) and Ca(Ⅱ) site, which may block the active growth sites of the seed crystals and resulted in the growth rate and the ratio of length to radius decreasing.

A series of the Yb3+ -doped phosphate laser glass have been prepared under high temperature and different doping content and the fluorescence and absorption spectrum is observed, respectively. The influences of the Yb3+ -doped content on the spectral properties of the glass are analyzed and the optimal mole fraction is 4 %. The emission cross-section and fluorescent lifetime is calculated with McCumber theory. Furthermore, the integrated absorption cross-section, the full width at half maximum of the emission spectra and the laser performance parameters such as least particle count, saturation pump intensity and lowest pump intensity of Yb3+ -doped laser glass is calculated.

All of the TiO2 films including intrinsic TiO2 film, Zn single doped film with 2.0 at% content and N doped films with 4.0 at%, 6.0 at%, 8.0 at% and 10.0 at% content, were obtained by butyl titanate (Ti(OC4H9)4) as a titanium source, zinc nitrate (Zn(NO3)2·6H2O) as zinc source and urea (H2 NCONH2) as nitrogen source, which was calcined at 600 °C on the glass substrate and Si substrate using sol–gel spin coating method. The structures, morphology and optical properties of various films were analyzed and studied by X ray diffract meter (XRD), ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer (UV-Vis) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results indicated that the main crystal plane of TiO2 film was (101) and any impurity crystal plane didn't appear. All samples had obvious red shifts in the absorbing edge overall and reduced significantly the width of forbidden band, especially, the N doping content with 8.0 at% was surprised to investigate the strongest (101) peak intensity, the sharpest peak type, the best meritocratic orientation, the greatest red shift of the absorption spectrum, the lowest optical band gap value of 3.356 eV, and the highest utilization rate of visible light of the sample. However, the surface morphology of the others films except the N doping content with 8.0 at% is not further improved by co-doping, that is, their surfaces were still rough, had obvious voids and uneven distribution between the grains. Meanwhile, the intensity of the (101) crystalline diffraction peaks of these samples were reduced and the crystalline spacing generally increased after co-doping.
