This paper proposed a non-blind watermarking technique based on different wavelet decomposition levels for biometric image protection. In this technique, a biometric image is used as a watermark instead of a standard image, logo or random noise pattern type watermark. For watermark embedding, the original host image and the watermark biometric image are transformed into various levels of wavelet coefficients. The watermark biometric image is embedded into the host image by modifying the values of the wavelet coefficients of the host image using the values of wavelet coefficients of the watermark biometric image. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed technique was able to withstand various watermarking attacks. The novelty of the proposed technique is that it is used to transform coefficients of the watermark biometric image instead of the Pseudo Noise sequences or any other feature extraction technique.

Aim The purpose of this study was to develop and assess the reliability of a Hindi version of the Consensus Auditory-Perceptual Evaluation of Voice (CAPE-V). Reliability was assessed by comparing Hindi CAPE-V ratings with English CAPE-V ratings and by the Grade, Roughness, Breathiness, Asthenia and Strain (GRBAS) scale. Method Hindi sentences were created to match the phonemic load of the corresponding English CAPE-V sentences. The Hindi sentences were adapted for linguistic content. The original English and adapted Hindi CAPE-V and GRBAS were completed for 33 bilingual individuals with normal voice quality. Additionally, the Hindi CAPE-V and GRBAS were completed for 13 Hindi speakers with disordered voice quality. The agreement of CAPE-V ratings was assessed between language versions, GRBAS ratings, and two rater pairs (three raters in total). Pearson product–moment correlation was completed for all comparisons. Results A strong correlation ( r > .8, p < .01) was found between the Hindi CAPE-V scores and the English CAPE-V scores for most variables in normal voice participants. A weak correlation was found for the variable of strain ( r < .2, p = .400) in the normative group. A strong correlation ( r > .6, p < .01) was found between the overall severity/grade, roughness, and breathiness scores in the GRBAS scale and the CAPE-V scale in normal and disordered voice samples. Significant interrater reliability ( r > .75) was present in overall severity and breathiness. Conclusions The Hindi version of the CAPE-V demonstrates good interrater reliability and concurrent validity with the English CAPE-V and the GRBAS. The Hindi CAPE-V can be used for the auditory-perceptual voice assessment of Hindi speakers.

Objectives: to study communications of separate components of the metabolic syndrome (MS) and immune and oxidative characteristics of patients with psoriasis in combination with MS. Methods. The research included 312 patients with psoriasis having diagnostic signs of a metabolic syndrome. Biochemical and immunological researches were conducted by means of immunofermental and immunokhemilyuminestsentny analyses. Results. At patients with psoriasis at a combination to MS abdominal obesity, a giperleptinemiya, insulin resistance, high oxidizing potential and hyperactivity of interleukins (ILS) -1β,-6,-8, a factor of a necrosis of tumors an alpha (FNO-α), interferon scale (INF-γ) are noted. the waist circle’ is characteristic direct weak correlation with the pro-inflammatory tsitokina oxidized by lipoproteins of blood (LDL-ok) and with the general oxidizing ability of blood (OOS), weak negative correlation of an indicator - with the general antioxidant ability of blood (OAS) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). The HOMA-IR index has direct correlation link of moderate force with levels of a leptin of blood, LDL-ok, OOS, pro-inflammatory tsitokin, negative correlation of moderate force - with OAS, SOD. At patients with psoriasis with MS direct strong correlation link of level of a leptin of blood with activity of the studied pro-inflammatory cytokine, LDL-ok, OOS moderated is established with the level of insulin in the blood., the HOMA-IR index, strong negative correlation with OAS, SOD. Conclusion. Presence at patients with psoriasis of signs of a metabolic syndrome is followed by increase in activity of immune and inflammatory mechanisms, development of oxidative stress.

Digital Watermarking is a technology, to facilitate the authentication, copyright protection and Security of digital media. The objective of developing a robust watermarking technique is to incorporate the maximum possible robustness without compromising with the transparency. Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) using Firefly Algorithm provides this objective of an optimal robust watermarking technique. Multiple scaling factors are used to embed the watermark image into the host by multiplying these scaling factors with the Singular Values (SV) of the host image. Firefly Algorithm is used to optimize the modified host image to achieve the highest possible robustness and transparency. This approach can significantly increase the quality of watermarked image and provide more robustness to the embedded watermark against various attacks such as noise, geometric attacks, filtering attacks etc.

With the fast progress of information technology and the computer networks, it becomes very easy to reproduce and share the geospatial data due to its digital styles. Therefore, the usage of geospatial data suffers from various problems such as data authentication, ownership proffering, and illegal copying ,etc. These problems can represent the big challenge to future uses of the geospatial data. This paper introduces a new watermarking scheme to ensure the copyright protection of the digital vector map. The main idea of proposed scheme is based on transforming  the digital map to frequently domain using the Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) in order to determine suitable areas to insert the watermark data. The digital map is separated into the isolated parts.Watermark data are embedded within the nominated magnitudes in each part when satisfied the definite criteria. The efficiency of proposed watermarking scheme is assessed within statistical measures based on two factors which are fidelity and robustness. Experimental results demonstrate the proposed watermarking scheme representing ideal trade off for disagreement issue between distortion amount and robustness. Also, the proposed scheme shows  robust resistance for many kinds of attacks.

Robust digital image watermarking is an information security technique that has been widely used to solve several issues related mainly with copyright protection as well as ownership authentication. In general terms, robust watermarking conceals a small signal called a “watermark” in a host image in a form imperceptible to human vision. The efficiency of conventional robust watermarking based on frequency domain depend directly on the results of performance in terms of robustness and imperceptibility. According to the application scenario and the image dataset, it is common practice to adjust the key parameters used by robust watermarking methods in an experimental form; however, this manual adjustment may involve exhaustive tasks and at the same time be a drawback in practical scenarios. In recent years, several optimization techniques have been adopted by robust watermarking to allowing adjusting in an automatic form its key operation parameters, improving thus its performance. In this context, this paper proposes an improved robust watermarking algorithm in discrete Fourier transform via spread spectrum, optimizing the key operation parameters, particularly the amounts of bands and coefficients of frequency as well as the watermark strength factor using particle swarm optimization in conjunction with visual information fidelity and bit correct rate criteria. Experimental results obtained in this research show improved robustness against common signal processing and geometric distortions, preserving a high visual quality in color images. Performance comparison with conventional discrete Fourier transform proposal is provided, as well as with the current state-of-the-art of particle swarm optimization applied to image watermarking.
