Aim.The aim of the work described herein was to study the dynamics of allantoin accumulation in the underground phytomass ofEchium vulgareL.,Symphytum caucasicumM. Bieb. andS. asperumLepech. as well as to clarify the role of allantoin in plant adaptation to stress factors.Methods.We studied the roots of plants growing in the foothill (Nalchik, 490–512 m above sea level) and the mountain zones of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (Terskol village, 2530 m above sea level; Verkhnyaya Balkaria village, 2680 m above sea level). The roots were collected at the stages of rosetting, flowering, fruiting and at the end of the growing season. Aqueous-alcoholic extracts of shredded roots were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography.Results.The highest content of allantoin in the roots ofEchium vulgare,Symphytum caucasicum,S. asperumplants was noted at the end of the growing season, respectively 0.915; 0.342–0.658; 2,842–3,426%. Under conditions of low temperatures and increased solar radiation, the content of allantoin in the roots increases 1.2–1.9 times as compared with the plants of the foothill zone.Conclusion.Allantoin plays an important role in the process of adapting species of the family Boraginaceae to oxidative stress caused by hypothermia and increased solar radiation.

The influence of biostimulant and substrate volume on scarlet sage transplants growth and development was examined in this investigation. There was one cultivar of scarlet sage used in trial which was transplanted in pots of two different volumes. Plants were treated with biostimulant (Radifarm) in concentration of 0.25% or left untreated (control). During the trial, root and aboveground fresh and dry mass were recorded. Treatment with biostimulant and bigger substrate volume showed good results by increasing investigated parameters. Investigation shows how biostimulant application to scarlet sage transplants production improves growth and development of root and aboveground mass which is important for faster plant adaptation to stress during transplanting.

Abstract The necessity of hot temperature stress is widely recognized as the initial stress methodology to maintain the stability of products from infant defects in device [1, 2]. However, hot temperature stress has a disadvantage in terms of stress uniformity because temperature variation according to stress environment such as chamber, board, and tester accelerates different stress effects per chips. In addition, this stress condition can cause serious reliability problem in the mass production environments. Therefore, the stress temperature should be lowered to minimize the temperature deviation due to the production environments. The reduction of stress temperature cause the lack of stress amount, so optimized stress voltage and time to maintain the stress condition is required. In this study, various stress voltage and time with decreasing temperature were evaluated in consideration of lifetime that unit elements such transistors and capacitors did not degrade by any stress conditions. In addition, it was confirmed that stress uniformity can be improved in the stress condition obtained by the evaluation. Furthermore, the enhanced initial failure screen ability was proven with mass evaluations.
