In our manuscript, we present our protocol for data processing to mitigate the effects of interfering analytes on the identification of the chemical species detected by sensors. Considering NO2 and CO2, we designed electrochemical sensors whose response yielded the cyclic voltammetry data that we analyzed to classify single-species components and their mixtures using a data-driven approach to generate a chemical space where their mixtures can be deconvoluted.<br>

The emerging biomedical applications of selenium nanoparticles (SeNPs) require facile and efficient strategy to assess its interactions with cell membrane. In this study, an efficient and reproducible microwave assisted method was used to synthesize SeNPs with controllable size distributions. The physical properties of the emergent structures, such as morphology, structure, and size were studied. The antimicrobial applications of SeNPs were assessed by electrochemical analyses that entailed the systematic acquisition of cyclic voltammetry data. Our results demonstrate a straightforward method to predict the integrity of bacterial cell membranes following the administration of SeNP treatments.

We report the development of an electrocatalytic protocol for the chlorophosphinoylation of simple alkenes. Driven by electricity and mediated by a Mn catalyst, the heterodifunctionalization reaction takes place with high efficiency and regioselectivity. Cyclic voltammetry data are consistent with a mechanistic scenario based on anodically coupled electrolysis in which the generation of two distinct radical intermediates occur simultaneously on the anode and are both mediated by the Mn catalyst.

Abstract The melts dissolution characteristics and reaction process during the preparation of Fe-Si alloys by the melts electrochemical method were studied. The thermodynamic calculations and experimental results showed that the solubility of SiO2 in KCl-NaCl-NaF melts was 0.24 mas% at 1073 K. The cyclic voltammetry data showed that the reduction of SiO2 on a Pt electrode was a one-step electron process; when SiO2 accounted for 0.24 mas% of the NaCl-KCl-NaF melts, the Fe-Si alloy was prepared by electrodeposition at 1073 K. When the deposition time was 30 min, Fe3Si was formed.

The electrochemical formation and characteristics of passive films on niobium surfaces in aqueous H2SO4 solutions were studied using open circuit potential and cyclic voltammetry. In the potential region between -1.0 and 1.2 V(NHE), the cyclic voltammetry data showed that the active/passive transition involves slow metal dissolution followed by the formation of semiconducting passive oxide films. The possible electrochemical reactions and the change of the oxidation steps of some niobium oxides occurring in the passive film during the polarization are proposed. A strong influence of the natural air-formed oxide film on the chemical composition of the passive film was shown. This influence makes chemical structure of thin passive films more complicated than that of thick anodic films. It is shown that the passive films consists of more or less stable oxides, such as NbO, NbO2 and Nb2O5. The Raman spectra revealed that the thin passive films were amorphous, while the films formed at higher voltages consist, primarily, of well-crystallized Nb2O5.

Eight mixed-ligand cobalt(III) complexes with the macrocyclic amine 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (cyclam) and a heterocyclic dithiocarbamate (Rdtc-)i.e., morpholine-(Morphdtc), thiomorpholine- (Timdtc), piperazine-(Pzdtc), N-methylpiperazine-(Mepzdtc), piperidine- (Pipdtc), 2-, 3- or 4-methylpiperidine-(2-, 3- and 4-Mepipdtc) carbodithionato-S,S ions, of the general formula [Co(cyclam)Rdtc](ClO4)2, were investigated in deoxygenated 0.1 MHClO4 solutions. Cyclic voltammetry data at a glassy carbon (GC) electrode demonstrate a redox reaction of cobalt(III) from the complexes at potentials strongly influenced by the presence of different heterocyclic Rdtc- ligands. In this respect, the complexes were separated into two groups: the first, with a heteroatom O, S or N in the heterocyclic ring, and the second, with a methyl group on the piperidine ring of the Rdtc- ligand. Anodic polarization of an Fe electrode in the presence of the complexes shows their influence not only on the dissolution of iron but also on the hydrogen evolution reactions and on this basis complexes the complexes could be divided into the same two groups. It was found that the weaker the inhibiting effect of the free heterocyclic amines is, the significantly higher is the efficiency of the corresponding complexes.
