A water-soluble turn-on fluorescent probe for rapid discrimination and imaging of Cys/Hcy and GSH in cells and zebrafish through different fluorescent channels
We report a new fluorescent probe (Myco-Cys) for live cell cysteine imaging. Myco-Cys contains a methacrylate cleavable pendant group that preferentially reacts with cysteine over homocysteine and glutathione to afford a “turn-on” response.
A modified Vilsmeier–Haack reaction resulted in the synthesis of a pyrylium based turn-on fluorescent pH probe. The probe can monitor minute acidification and dynamic pH variation in cells during apoptosis with therapeutic chemo drugs.
