Subject. The article explores the impact of changes in the educational structure of the employed population on the dynamics of economic growth. Objectives. The purpose is to evaluate the impact of changes in the share of employed persons, having secondary vocational and higher education, and researchers with academic degree on the growth rates of the Russian economy. Methods. The study employs the regression analysis of panel data of Russian regions, the specification with a quadratic dependence of economic growth rates on the share of employed persons, having the higher education and secondary vocational education. A fixed-effects model is used to analyze the short-term effects, the sustainability of results, and long-term effects, using the pool models and random effects models. Results. The increase in the share of researchers with academic degree has a positive and significant effect on economic growth, but only if adequate R&D funding is provided. The increase in the share of employed persons with higher education up to thirty percent is accompanied by an increase in the growth rate of real GRP in the long run, however, further expansion of higher education has no positive effect on economic growth. Conclusions. A powerful form of personnel training for Russian high-tech companies is a special model of ‘industrial postgraduate training’, which involves the collaboration of universities with industrial partners.

The private economic benefits of persistence in higher education include better salaries and benefits, higher employment rates, greater savings, superior working conditions, and increased personal and professional mobility. Democratizing higher education is a first step to extending these benefits to a range of individuals. However, universities must also help an increasingly diverse body of students be successful and persist to graduation. This study explores a new aspect of persistence research, specifically, the views of graduating students and alumni regarding factors that influence whether or not they would return to the same institution, go to another institution, or not attend university at all if they were to make the choice again. Findings indicate that those who would not pursue higher education at all scored significantly lower on ratings reflective of learning, specifically essential learning outcomes and various aspects of academic engagement, suggesting that the learning experience is key to higher education persistence.

в статье рассматриваются вопросы развития цифровизации высшего образования, совершенствования качества подготовки обучающихся как профессионально-ориентированного «цифрового поколения» с применением электронного обучения и систем дистанционного образования. В России не хватает преподавателей, которых специально готовили бы для разработки онлайн курсов в сфере цифрового образования и дистанционной работы с обучающимися с личного компьютера. the paper discusses problems of high-tech in the higher education sphere, of quality to prepare students as professional-oriented «digital-generation» with used e-learning and Learning Management System. It is the fact that there are no special personnel in Russia who would be specially trained for e-learning, making online-course activity, worked distant from personal computers.

New variables associated with the covid 19 pandemic are studied, which could be generators of stress that influence student performance. Various factors cause academic stress at the level of university students: inexperience in managing distance education strategies, lack of internet, among others. The impact that the epidemic is having on the academic performance of students is highlighted. As a case study, interview surveys were applied to students from a public and a private university. Preliminary results show a decrease in motivation to study and academic performance with an increase in anxiety and difficulties in adapting to the distance modality. Most public students have internet problems, and do not have high-tech computers or cell phones. On the other hand, these aspects are more advantageous in the students of the private schools

Tutoring has been implemented in higher education institutions as a strategy that contributes to the improvement of the students' academic performance as well as their comprehensive training while improving efficiency in the institutions. At the Instituto Tecnológico de Tehuacán, a web system was developed with the aim of being a support tool in the development of the Tutoring initiatives. This system was operated in 2019, to analyze the impact of its implementation. This document presents the results of the system implementation as well as its innovative approach, which consists of using an opensource framework, compatible with a database that was developed with the objective of having a system that integrates the main actors from the tutoring program, and helps them develop tutoring initiatives in a simpler and more productive way by integrating improvements and new features. Therefore, the system will impact in successfully achieving the goals of the tutoring program. The analysis was executed under a qualitative methodology and the development of the system under an agile methodology.
