The underlying objective of the paper is to identify and evaluate in the research process vital factors that impact the development of design and construction enterprises of photovoltaic farms on the energy markets, in particular narrowed down to renewable energy sources (RES) markets, including energy coming from photovoltaic sources. The first part of the paper, the epistemological one, introduces a scientific discourse pertaining to conditionings and restrictions related to RES markets in the dimensions of sustainable development. This has been done with the use of literature query, legislative and administrative acts, and reports drawn up for the European Commission. In this reference, we summarized the EU’s essential measures aimed at promoting the idea of sustainability. The second part of the paper, the empirical one, presents a summary of the results obtained within the research pertaining to “opportunities and threats in managing projects of photovoltaic farms in production enterprises of energy appliances”. The research was conducted in a group of 24 design and construction enterprises of photovoltaic farms. The concentration of the research, in the context of the underlying objective of this paper, pertained to the aggregation and evaluation of selected factors that stimulate the development and competitiveness of construction projects and the implementation of photovoltaic farms. We considered the hierarchy of strategic objectives of the investigated enterprises and selected threats to their market position. Two primary criteria were adopted to aggregate and evaluate vital factors that impact the development of design and construction enterprises of PV farms. The first of them is the qualitative one—top scores, weighted averages of respondent evaluations on the five-point Likert scale. The second one is the quantitative criterion—number of indications N ≥ 22 of the respondents (over 90%). A measurable value of the paper is the scientific discourse pertaining to dimensions of competitiveness of the investigated and analyzed enterprises on the RES market, in particular narrowed down to photovoltaic farms.

Objective. Elaboration of objective quantitative criterion of electroencephalogram for estimation of the brain functional state in man. Маterials and methods. The background electroencephalograms analysis was conducted in 6 groups of the examined patients with various diagnosis (41 patients at all). Control group consisted of 7 patients, ageing 20 - 56 yrs (average age 35 yrs). Recording of EEG was conducted, using 16-channel electroencephalograph «NeuroCom standart» (KhАI - Меdika, Ukraine) in accordance to international system of recording «10-20». There were analyzed a quantity of meaningful interhemispheric asymmetries in accordance to power of summarized bioelectric signal in bilateral-synchronous points of the head in every group. The analysis time have constituted 1 min. Results. There was established, that the least meaningful difference in accordance to the bioelectrical signal power in bilateral-synchronous points of head may be considered in 1.4 times. Quantity of meaningful interhemispheric asymmetries in man may vary in large diapason - from 9 tо 25. Not all meaningful interhemispheric asymmetries in accordance to power of signals of separate rhythms are preserved while doing analysis of meaningful interhemispheric asymmetries in accordance to power of a summarized bioelectrical signal. Interhemispheric asymmetries in accordance to power of the summarized bioelectric signal in bilateral-synchronous points of the head may have more important informative meaning, than interhemispheric asymmetry in accordance to the signals power of separate rhythms. Conclusion. Quantity of meaningful interhemispheric asymmetries in accordance to power of signals of separate rhythms in healthy persons may vary from 16 tо 18. The interhemispheric asymmetries quantity reduction in accordance to power of the summarized bioelectric signal, comparing with quantity of interhemispheric asymmetries in accordance to power of signals of separate rhythms more than in 4 times, witnesses presence of the brain bioelectrical buffer system.

Computing the COVID-19 vaccination priority is an urgent and ubiquitous decision problem. In this paper we propose a solution of this problem using the LSP evaluation method. Our goal is to develop a justifiable and explainable quantitative criterion for computing a vaccination priority degree for each individual in a population. Performing vaccination in the order of the decreasing vaccination priority produces maximum positive medical, social, and ethical effects for the whole population. The presented method can be expanded and refined using additional medical and social conditions. In addition, the same methodology is suitable for solving other similar medical priority decision problems, such as priorities for organ transplants.

The present paper reviews several pertinent papers about the onset of bubble-ring cavitation on hemispherical headforms in which a laminar bubble is present. From this review, a likely sequence of events for cavitation inception, or desinence, can be discerned. When this sequence is postulated, the observational basis for each event is discussed. Once the physical aspects of the inception process have been noted, a mathematical formulation of key relationships required to establish an inception criterion can be undertaken. From these results, a quantitative criterion for the inception of bubble ring cavitation is stated and we give a discussion which interprets this possible inception criterion for future use. The use of this criterion in a theory of inception and a comparison of analytical and experimental results is left to a future publication.

Currently, the lowest formal taxon in virus classification is species; however, unofficial lower-level units are commonly used in everyday work. Tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) is a species of mammalian tick-borne flaviviruses that may cause encephalitis. Many known representatives of TBEV are grouped into subtypes, mostly according to their phylogenetic relationship. However, the emergence of novel sequences could dissolve this phylogenetic grouping; in the absence of strict quantitative criterion, it may be hard to define the borders of the first TBEV taxonomic unit below the species level. In this study, the nucleotide/amino-acid space of all known TBEV sequences was analyzed. Amino-acid sequence p-distances could not reliably distinguish TBEV subtypes. Viruses that differed by less than 10% of nucleotides in the polyprotein-coding gene belonged to the same subtype. At the same time, more divergent viruses were representatives of different subtypes. According to this distance criterion, TBEV species may be divided into seven subtypes: TBEV-Eur, TBEV-Sib, TBEV-FE, TBEV-2871 (TBEV-Ob), TBEV-Him, TBEV-178-79 (TBEV-Bkl-1), and TBEV-886-84 (TBEV-Bkl-2).

Abstract Eleven cases treated with vitamin B12 have been presented. Eight patients with pernicious anemia in relapse responded hematologically. Two patients with mild neurologic involvement were relieved by therapy with B12 alone. Consideration of the quantities of the crystalline vitamin required to promote maximal erythropoiesis in pernicious anemia indicates that less than about 0.75 µg. daily in doses at intervals of several days will not suffice to establish and maintain blood values as high as does adequate treatment with liver extract. Parenteral daily doses of 1.0 µg. promoted good erythropoiesis in one patient, although it appears that the maximum rate of hemopoiesis may require the initial average daily dose of approximately 3.0 µg. The reticulocyte count is an unreliable quantitative criterion of activity or adequacy of therapy. It is suggested that hemopoietic factors in addition to PGA and B12 may be required by some patients to obtain maximal erythrocyte levels. Vitamin B12, as well as PGA, effects a reduction in the fecal urobilinogen output of patients with pernicious anemia. The significance of this finding is discussed. No change in urinary excretion of pteroylglutamate or of porphyrin was detected in patients treated with vitamin B12.

The uptake of Cr51 chromate by thymocytes in vitro after whole body X-irradiation can be used as a sensitive quantitative criterion not only for the evaluation of early radiation damage to these cells but also as a measure of later regeneration. The development of the radiation lesion is characterized by a reduction in the in vitro uptake of Cr51 and the later regeneration of new cells by an increase in Cr51 uptake which is probably due to increased uptake of Cr51 by the young newly formed cells in the damaged tissue which is proliferating in an attempt to repair the damage. The return of the Cr51 uptake to normal is an indication of the time required for the cell population (ratio of young to older cells) to return to normal. By this technique the effect of different doses of X-irradiation on the regeneration of thymocytes has been demonstrated. Treatment with AET before whole body X-irradiation (400 r) indicated that less regeneration was necessary but the recovery time remained unchanged. Age differences produced a change in the extent of repair or regeneration but no change in recovery time.Spermatozoa showed evidence of early damage after whole body X-irradiation. This damage increased with time with no evidence of increased regeneration or repair.
