This research aimed at a general preliminary discussion of the implications of taxes on communications services and public taxes such as VAT on goods and services or all. This research follows the descriptive method, which collects information from its various sources and submits it to Therefore, the researcher will study the literature related to the study and a number of published and unpublished sources, such as the working papers of conferences, workshops, seminars, articles, in addition to previous studies and researches. He will also work on studying statistics and publications issued by ministries and public research centers. The study's hypothesis provided that there is an inverse relationship between the taxation of the telecommunications sector and the sector's contribution to GDP. The study's hypothesis provided that there is an inverse relationship between the taxation of the telecommunications sector and the sector's contribution to GDP. The research concludes with several results that can be summed up in five points: 1_Annual profit declined by 5.7 in the first half of the year: 2015 compared with 2014. Consumer spending fell by 18% in the year: 2012, compared to 2011. 2-The decline in the number of employees in the sector by 441 employees between years: 2011 and 2015 AD. 3- The sector's participation in GDP fell from 8.96% in 2010 to 5.67% in 2014. The study's thesis_ which states that there is an inverse relationship between the taxation of the telecommunications sector and the sector's contribution to GDP - is well established.

Companies can benefit from diversifying internationally. This paper analyzes the internationalization efforts of six major European wireless telecommunications service providers: Telefonica, Deutsche Telekom, France Telecom, Vodafone, Telenor and TeliaSonera. Although all six companies have invested heavily in foreign markets, their internationalization paths have not been the same, resulting in foreign market portfolios with different characteristics. Utilizing a proportionate customer weighting scheme based on the number of subscribers controlled by a company in each market, the paper examines how the companies compared in 2007 versus 2002 in their extent and scope of internationalization and in the attractiveness of their foreign market portfolios with respect to some key growth, profitability, and risk market characteristics.

The goal of this chapter is to introduce the novel concept of cognitive radio (CR) for wireless telecommunications. Cognitive radios are a new type of radio devices that include cognition and reconfigurability features. The raising number of studies in different areas of research shows their potential and the expectation created among the telecommunications community. In this chapter, the authors first introduce the reader to the new paradigm that cognitive radio networks have created; more specifically, they explain in detail the new next generation networks. Given that our intention is to introduce cognitive radio, the authors focus on the challenges in PHY layer and MAC sublayer and the most relevant studies in these fields. Finally, the integration of game theory and cognitive radio creates a new paradigm where the advantages of both technologies merge to solve complex problems.

In response to slowing growth, intensifying competition in their traditional wireless voice, text markets with an eye toward increasing revenues from offering a bundle of mobile and fixed-line voice, data, text, and video services to subscribers, management at Telefonica and America Movil have restructured their companies and reconsidered their internationalization strategies. This paper focuses on the two companies’ Latin American wireless market portfolios, providing background on why these reorganizational and strategic actions were taken. In particular, the paper compares the portfolios with respect to their market attractiveness and competitive positions in 2008 relative to 2002 on both an overall average and degree of variance basis across the markets in the portfolios. The portfolio analysis technique employed in the paper may have wider applicability for formulating corporate strategy.
