Abstract In this paper we study CP violation in photon self-interactions at low energy. These interactions, mediated by the effective operator $$ FFF\tilde{F} $$ FFF F ˜ , where ($$ \tilde{F} $$ F ˜ ) F is the (dual) electromagnetic field strength, have yet to be directly probed experimentally. Possible sources for such interactions are weakly coupled light scalars with both scalar and pseudoscalar couplings to photons (for instance, complex Higgs-portal scalars or the relaxion), or new light fermions coupled to photons via dipole operators. We propose a method to isolate the CP-violating contribution to the photon self-interactions using Superconducting Radio-Frequency cavities and vacuum birefringence experiments. In addition, we consider several theoretical and experimental indirect bounds on the scale of new physics associated with the above effective operator, and present projections for the sensitivity of the proposed experiments to this scale. We also discuss the implications of these bounds on the CP-violating couplings of new light particles coupled to photons.

Сформулирована и детализирована методика оценивания граничной дальности береговых ОВЧ радиостанций в направлении Берег-Судно, которая основана на зависимостях напряженности поля, полученных эмпирическим путем. Определены численные значения граничной дальности ОВЧ радиосвязи применительно к типовому судовому радиооборудованию и шумовой обстановке вблизи судовой антенны. Проведена оценка максимальных допусков определения граничной дальности ОВЧ радиосвязи. The procedure for estimating the boundary distance of the shore VHF radio stations in the shore-to-ship direction, which is based on the dependences of the electromagnetic field strength obtained empirically, has been formulated and detailed. Numerical values of the boundary distance of VHF radio communication in relation to typical ship radio equipment and the noise environment near the ship's antenna are determined. The estimation of the maximum tolerances for determining the boundary distance of VHF radio communication is carried out.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of electromagnetic fields on combustion quality, especially on gasoline engines. One of the indicators of good combustion quality was environmentally friendly exhaust emissions and relatively large combustion energy. This research uses an experimental method, with the independent variables magnetic field strength and fuel. The field strength used in this study consisted of 4 variations, namely 647 Gauss, 847 Gauss, 1068 Gauss and 1419 gauss, while the fuel used was E0 (premium 100% bioethanol 0%), E10 (premium 90% bioethanol 10%), E20 (premium 80% bioethanol 20%), and E30. (premium 70% bioethanol 30%). The parameters of the electromagnetic field strength and various types of fuel composition were used to test exhaust gas emissions and combustion energy (as the dependent variable) on the 125cc MIO gasoline motorbike in 2018.The result was that the levels of CO2 exhaust emissions increased by 35% and CO levels decreased by 71%, combustion energy increases in the range of 13-21%. The greater the electromagnetic field provided, the more environmentally friendly the exhaust emissions are and the greater the combustion energy.

В работе рассмотрены такие характеристики судового ОВЧ радиоканала, как напряженность поля полезного сигнала и ЭДС полезного сигнала на входе радиоприемного устройства (РПУ),которые являются функциями от отношения сигнал/шум на выходе (входе)РПУ. Введено понятие фактической чувствительности РПУ. Определены количественные значения анализируемых характеристик применительно к типовому судовому радиооборудованию и шумовой обстановке вблизи судовой антенны. The article considers such characteristics of the shipboard VHF radio channel as the electromagnetic field strength of the useful signal and the EMF of the useful signal at the input of the receiver, which are functions of the signal-to-noise ratio at the output (input) of the receiver. The concept of the actual sensitivity of the receiver is introduced. The quantitative values of the analyzed characteristics are determined in relation to the typical ship radio equipment and the noise environment near the ship antenna.

We make a number of comments about the way the Plücker embedding, which can be derived via the Grassmann-Plücker relations, can be associated to totally antisymmetric gauge fields. As a first step we discuss the case of the electromagnetic field strength, showing that the Plücker map implies both the true degrees of freedom of the electromagnetic field and the 1-brane (string) structure. The procedure is generalized in order to prove that the true degrees of freedom of a totally antisymmetric field and the p-brane structure are, in part, consequence of the Plücker coordinates.

Three-dimensional numerical simulations were conducted for the Top-Seeded Solution Growth (TSSG) process of silicon carbide (SiC) crystals. We investigated the influence of coils frequency and peak current, and an applied rotating magnetic field (RMF) on the melt flow developing in this system. Numerical simulation results show that the Marangoni flow in the melt becomes stronger at higher coils frequencies due to the decreasing coils-induced electromagnetic field strength. Results also show that the use of external RMF may improve supersaturation uniformity along the seed if it is properly adjusted with respect to the coils-induced electromagnetic field strength. Furthermore, it is predicted that the application of RMF and seed rotation in the same direction may enhance supersaturation below the seed.

In this paper the implementation of the device for wireless communication detection is presented. The system measures RF electromagnetic field strength for frequencies from 1 MHz up to 10 GHz and has wide range of adjustable sensitivity. Implemented device provides detection of cellular phone activities in all three main operating bands, and detection of other types of wireless communication such as radio communications, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and so on. The device presents an improvement of a previous version of the detector UD-100. Measurement results are displayed on graphical display providing easy user readings and device operating. Device is operated by four touch sensitive keypads, the system is battery powered, portable and can fit in any pocket.
