ABSTRACTAn exciting and successful environmental education program has been implemented at Kosciusko National Park in south-eastern NSW. It is based on programs developed by the Institute of Earth Education, a non-profit volunteer organisation made up of an international network of individuals and member organisations. The major work of the Institute is to design and develop educational programs. The two most popular programs offered at Kosciusko National Park are EarthkeepersTM and Earth CaretakersTM which are focused, sequential and cumulative nature education programs intended for upper primary children, that is, ten to twelve year olds. The aim of these programs is to help students enjoy, understand and live in harmony with the Earth. The activities integrate three components-understanding, feelings and processing—mirroring the interpretation philosophy of understanding, appreciation and protection. Evaluation has shown that the programs successfully enhance school curricula subjects and motivate students to change the way they and their families live.

The purpose of this research was to identify opportunities for Event Managers to gain certification and recognition for their knowledge, skills and competences. The results of the research can represent a base for developing a National Qualifications Standard of Event Management, and a reference to develop the European Qualification Framework (INVENT 2017-1-UK01-KA202, 2018). The aim of this research was to determine an effective view of Event Management and the Event Manager’s career path for future reference. The survey showed some gaps in formal and informal educational programs of Event Management in Slovenia, and some suggestions to improve the quality of that field and how to train the teachers who train Event Managers follow. To evaluate the hypothesis, a model for assessing education programs of event management has been developed, using the computer program Dexi. This instrument serves to verify the presence or absence of skills from the National Qualification Standard. The system allows you to check if the quality of the education program is appropriate, and what needs to be done to improve the quality.

Aim of this study is to examine and evaluate the ecology - based environmental education program which was applied in years between 2003-2006 Kazdagi National Parks in the Western Turkey. Ecology - based environmental education aims at using natural and cultural resources of Kazda ð ı National Park to teach graduate research assistants and scout teachers about the nature. The expectation is to increase the environmental awareness of participants in general. At the end of the education program, it is expected that the participants will develop a better understanding of local, regional, national as well as international environmental problems; will be able to discuss and provide alternative solution to global ecological crises; and will take action in their individual lives towards creating a more sustainable environment for future. The main or purpose of the project will be to teach natural interactions in an ecosystem. Emphasis will be given to human action that has been interrupted that interaction and made natural environments less sustainable. Therefore, particular emphasis will be given to cultural ecology of the protected area and the participants are expected to develop a thorough understanding of human and environmental interaction.

AbstractThe Saltwatch environmental education program aims to increase awareness and understanding of salinity and thereby to stimulate remedial and preventative action. An evaluation of the program in Victoria in 1995 revealed its wide use across school curricula, and subsequent practical environmental action in 53% of schools. Participation in Saltwatch and subsequent environmental activities were more restricted in community groups. The paper concludes with a discussion of Saltwatch's success and possible improvements.

The ABC's role as a telecaster of educational programs has undergone fundamental change since it became a corporation. Yet these changes have not attracted the publicity and debate that alterations to the ABC Television's evening schedule have. TV transmission that was once tailored to State needs is now beamed nationally by satellite. Advisory links between the ABC and State Education Departments have been severed. Copyright continues to present problems and the provision of entertainment and education programs for children has been merged under the control of one department. This paper examines the ABC's former role as a producer of educational television programs, looks at the recent policy changes, and suggests some possibilities for the future. It also considers the rise of alternatives to the ABC in education program making and distribution.

Global pollution can only handle with education in early childhood. Especially, the pre-school period is an important time for environmental education. It is seen that current pre-school education programs generally include environmental education but it has missing parts. The aim of the study is to add the built environment elements to the environmental education programs that include only natural elements such as trees, animals, etc. The environment is basically divided into two parts as natural and built (man-made structures). There is no environmental education program in the literature that includes these two basic subjects. The built environment includes architectural elements such as buildings, bridges, and infrastructure systems. All people use these systems and should have knowledge about them. The complete Sustainable Environmental Education Model has been created which is including both natural and built environmental elements for preschool pupils in the study. The LEED criteria were taken as a reference while planning the model. The model was applied to 134 (5 years old) pupils who studying pre-school education for eight months. As a result of the model application, the level of awareness of pupils who have never study any environmental education before, according to the beginning of the program, is from 23.37% to 79.81% in sustainable areas, from 23.87% to 85.32% in "efficient water use", from 13.80% to 91.79% in efficient energy use and from 13.78% to 82.98% in the usage of waste materials It was determined that it increased. The designed model can be the solution for global pollution.

Since its evolution environment has remained both a matter of awe and concern to man. The frontier attitude of the industrialized society towards nature has not only endangered the survival of all other life forms but also threatened the very existence of human life. The realization of such potential danger has necessitated the dissemination of knowledge and skill vis-a-vis environment protection at all stages of learning. Therefore, learners of all stages of learning need to be sensitized with a missionary zeal. This may ensure transformation of students into committed citizens for averting global environment crisis. The advancement of science and technology made the life more and more relaxed and man also became more and more ambitious. With such development, human dependence on environment increased. He consumed more resources and the effect of his activities on the environment became more and more detectable. Environment covers all the things present around the living beings and above the land, on the surface of the earth and under the earth. Environment indicates, in total, all of peripheral forces, pressures and circumstances, which affect the life, nature, behaviour, growth, development and maturation of living beings. Irrational exploitation (not utilization) of natural resources for our greed (not need) has endangered our survival, and incurred incalculable harm. Environmental Education is a science, a well-thought, permanent, lasting and integrated process of equipping learning experiences for getting awareness, knowledge, understanding, skills, values, technical expertise and involvement of learners with desirable attitudinal changes about their relationship with their natural and biophysical environment. Environmental Education is an organized effort to educate the masses about environment, its functions, need, importance, and especially how human beings can manage their behaviour in order to live in a sustainable manner. The term 'environmental awareness' refers to creating general awareness of environmental issues, their causes by bringing about changes in perception, attitude, values and necessary skills to solve environment related problems. Moreover, it is the first step leading to the formation of responsible environmental behaviour (Stern, 2000). With the ever increasing development by modern man, large scale degradation of natural resources have been occurred, the public has to be educated about the fact that if we are degrading our environment we are actually harming ourselves. To encourage meaningful public participation and environment, it is necessary to create awareness about environment pollution and related adverse effects. This is the crucial time that environmental awareness and environmental sensitivity should be cultivated among the masses particularly among youths. For the awareness of society it is essential to work at a gross root level. So the whole society can work to save the environment.
