γ-phase evolution in aged Co–Ni–Ga shape memory alloy

A synchrotron X-ray diffraction study of high-temperature (HT) shape memory alloy 49Co–21Ni–30Ga (in at. pct.) was performed. The volume fraction, cell parameter and temperature evolution of the different secondary phases were analyzed. This study reports reliable experimental data on these parameters to be used as a future reference to adjust the composition of the material.

The ripe fruits are pleasant, astringent taste and are eaten either raw or processed into different products mainly vinegar, jam, jellies and squash. The jambolana seed contains alkaloid, jambosine, and glycoside jambolin or antimellin. To be concluded, NS and EJ both bearing similar therapeutic and pharmacological endorsement with different remarkable biological active molecule, which will become future reference to find out the natural way to cure untreatable disease and its disorder such as HIV-Aids, Cancer and recent outbreak, etc. according to narration made by Prophet Muhammed .

Two additions to the family Malvaceae for the Flora of Telangana, India

Melhania futteyporensis Munro ex Mast and Sida sivarajanii Tambde, Sardesai & A.K. Pandey belonging to the family Malvaceae are reported here as additions to the flora of Telangana from Amrabad Tiger Reserve and Kinnerasani Wildlife Sanctuary respectively. Brief descriptions along with phenological data and colour photo plates are provided for easy identification and future reference.

Low Cost Plug and Abandonment with Hybrid Hydraulic Pulling Unit

Plug and Abandonment (P&A) operations with conventional Hydraulic Workover Unit (WHU) have an enormous benefit and impact on low-cost P&A campaign in Malaysia compare with using conventional drilling rig. Subsequently, this Hybrid Hydraulic Pulling Unit (HHPU) was the first successful deployed and safely delivered for P&A campaign together with conductor removal in offshore West Malaysia. This paper presents case study that showcase the capability of HHPU for low-cost permanent P&A campaign by eliminate requirement for additional bringing rigging-up and rigging-down of casing jack unit for conductor removal operation. The unit manage to cut and pull-out the existing completion strings, setting cement plugs, cut and pull-out multiple strings of casing along with retrieving the 24″ conductors delivering the most advantageous outcome for P&A campaign safely, efficiently and cost effectively. It was invented from 340K HWU with improvise features that capable of pull-out existing completion string and removal of the conductor with size up to 36″. This paper demonstrates a unique combination of techniques and equipment of a successfully low-cost P&A operation with excellent client satisfaction with no incident and accident were recorded. The end results may contradict traditional P&A methods, but the case history can be used for future reference or potential replication in South East Asia region.

Notes on the extended distribution of Impatiens megamalayana, a recently described balsam in Western Ghats, India

Impatiens megamalayana is a recently described balsam from the Megamalai hills of the Western Ghats in Tamil Nadu state. This is a small, annual herb with ridged stem, often distributed in open, wet, rocky grasslands above 1,000 m elevation. The plant considered endemic to the Megamalai hills of Tamil Nadu is recently located in the Urumbikkara hills of Idukki district in Kerala state, which is about 120 km away from its original locality. Urumbikkara is an emerging tourist destination in central Kerala and the newly located populations of the plant are outside protected forest areas and are facing severe threat due to anthrapogenic activities. A detailed description, photographs and distribution maps are provided to facilitate easy identification of the plant in the field. An updated checklist of the genus Impatiens in Kerala state is also furnished for future reference.

A multi-purpose phantom kit for magnetic particle imaging

Phantoms are essential tools for the development and characterization of Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI), an imaging technique that can quantitatively map the spatial distribution of magnetic nanoparticles (MNP). The objective of this study was to develop and validate a modular MPI phantom kit with high versatility for platform-independent quality assurance and the assembling of defined geometries in MPI. It was shown that the developed MPI phantom kit can be used for both application scenario testing and quality assurance in MPI which provides the basis for future reference phantoms to directly compare existing scanners within the MPI community.
