This study aimed to analyze the teachers’ expectations related to the school principals’ ethical behaviors and the frequency of the school principals’ performing ethical leadership behaviors based on the teachers’ perceptions. Data were collected through the Teacher Ethical Expectation Scale (ÖEBÖ) and School Principal’s Performing Ethical Leadership Scale (PELBS) which were developed by the researchers for the aim of this research. The sample of the study consisted of 541 participant teachers selected from the population of the teachers working at public schools located in Sakarya, province of Turkey, during the 2018-2019 academic year. According to the teachers’ perceptions, it was found that the teachers’ expectations of the school principals’ ethical behaviors and the frequency of the principals’ performing ethical leadership behaviors were quite high. It was also seen that there was a significant positive relationship at a low level because of the path analysis, which was done to predict the school principals’ performing ethical behaviors through the teachers’ expectations on ethical behaviors. It was concluded that the ethical behaviors from the school principals expected by the teachers as the independent variable were seen to explain 8.6% of the variance in ethical behaviors performed by the school principals as the dependent variable.

Aim: Affecting the attitudes and the behaviors of the employees, leaders’ ethical focused behavior is one of the most important factors affecting employee work motivation. The study was conducted with the aim of examining the relationship between ethical leadership behavior and the work motivation of Intensive Care Nurses (ICNs). Material and Methods: The study adopted a cross-sectional and descriptive design and was performed between August and October 2018 with 98 ICNs at a university hospital in Turkey. A Nurses’ Description Form, the Ethical Leadership Scale, and the Nurses’ Work Motivation Scale were used to collect data. Since the data were found to be normally distributed, to compare the total scores of ethical leadership scale and nurses’ work motivation scale for demographic information of the nurses independent t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) test were used. Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between ethical leadership and work satisfaction. Results: A statistically significant positive correlation was found between the mean total score of the Ethical Leadership Scale and the mean total score of the Nurses’ Work Motivation Scale (p < 0.001). A statistically significant difference was found between the mean total score of the ELS and the number of patients for whom daily nursing care was provided (p < 0.05). Conclusions: It was concluded from this study that the perceptions of ICNs concerning ethical leadership behavior and their work motivation were at a medium level. In addition, it was found that the nurses’ ethical leadership behavior had a positive effect on their work motivation. Nursing leaders should therefore endeavor to maintain their ethical behavioral integrity in order to promote nurses’ work motivation.

The primary focus of the concept of ethical leadership is to form internal corporate ethical principles. The study examines whether there is a relationship between teachers’ ethical leadership and burnout levels, and whether these levels differ according to some variables (gender, branch, service period). The methodological basis of the study includes the theoretical concepts of strategic management and industrial and organizational psychology, in particular, one of its sub-disciplines – managerial psychology. Research data were collected from 477 teachers using a questionnaire. To evaluate the data obtained, we have used statistical and econometric analysis, as well as the Maslach Burnout Scale and the Ethical Leadership Scale. A negative and significant relationship was found between ethical leadership and emotional exhaustion (r = –0.099, p
