Ethical leadership has become prominent in the leadership literature recently. The aim of the current study was to assess school principals' ethical leadership behaviours in Turkish context. School principals' ethical leadership behaviours were measured by Ethical Leadership Scale, developed by Brown, Trevino and Harrison (2005), and adapted into Turkish by Tuna, Bircan and Yeşiltaş (2012). Internal consistency of the instrument was investigated by Cronbach's alpha value, and the construct validity of the scale was tested on LISREL by confirmatory factor analysis. Data was analysed by ttest and ANOVA. Findings revealed that participant teachers' opinions regarding school principals' ethical leadership behaviours did not differ in relation to gender, tenure and educational background. However, high school teachers were found to perceive that their school principals behaved more ethically than primary and secondary school principals. Results have been discussed along with the limitations of the study.

The study examines whether there is a relationship between teachers’ ethical leadership and burnout levels, and whether these levels differ according to some variables (gender, branch, service period). The methodological basis of the study includes the theoretical concepts of strategic management and industrial and organizational psychology, in particular, one of its sub-disciplines – managerial psychology. Research data were collected from 477 teachers using a questionnaire. To evaluate the data obtained, we have used statistical and econometric analysis, as well as the Maslach Burnout Scale and the Ethical Leadership Scale. A negative and significant relationship was found between ethical leadership and emotional exhaustion (r = –0.099, p

This study aimed to analyze the teachers’ expectations related to the school principals’ ethical behaviors and the frequency of the school principals’ performing ethical leadership behaviors based on the teachers’ perceptions. Data were collected through the Teacher Ethical Expectation Scale (ÖEBÖ) and School Principal’s Performing Ethical Leadership Scale (PELBS) which were developed by the researchers for the aim of this research. The sample of the study consisted of 541 participant teachers selected from the population of the teachers working at public schools located in Sakarya, province of Turkey, during the 2018-2019 academic year. According to the teachers’ perceptions, it was found that the teachers’ expectations of the school principals’ ethical behaviors and the frequency of the principals’ performing ethical leadership behaviors were quite high. It was also seen that there was a significant positive relationship at a low level because of the path analysis, which was done to predict the school principals’ performing ethical behaviors through the teachers’ expectations on ethical behaviors. It was concluded that the ethical behaviors from the school principals expected by the teachers as the independent variable were seen to explain 8.6% of the variance in ethical behaviors performed by the school principals as the dependent variable.

In this study, it is aimed to examine PE teachers' perceptions of ethical leadership according to some variables. 158 Physical Education teachers selected by simple random method among 250 Physical Education teachers working in primary and high school education institutions affiliated to Isparta Provincial Directorate of National Education participated in the study. As a data collection tool in research; personal information form and ethical leadership scale were used. Participants' scores obtained from personal information and the scale and factor scores are given by determining the frequency (f) and percentage (%) values. In order to determine whether the scores obtained by physical education teachers from the ethical leadership scale differ according to independent variables, the T test was applied in independent groups in paired comparisons, while the one-way Anova test was used to compare three or more variables, and the Bonferoni test was used to determine the difference between groups. According to the statistical processes performed, no significant difference was found in the ethical leadership perceptions of physical education teachers according to the variables of gender and years of service. When ethical leadership perceptions were examined according to the age variable, a significant difference was found between ethics and justice, power sharing subtitles and ethical leadership perceptions total scores. When ethical leadership perceptions were examined according to the marital status variable, a significant difference was found between clarification of duties and roles, subheadings of power sharing and total scores of ethical leadership perceptions. According to the sport type variable, when ethical leadership perceptions were examined, a significant difference was found between the subtitles of ethics and justice, duties and roles, power sharing, and ethical leadership perceptions. As a result, it is thought that the study can contribute to the field in terms of evaluating the ethical leadership perceptions of physical education teachers.

Turnover intention is a desire to stop or get out of his work and wish to change jobs. The subjects used in the study were 150 employees. The method used for sampling uses a purposive sampling technique. The scale used at the time of this research was the turnover intention scale with reliability 0.796, Ethical Leadership scale with reliability 0.879, and organizational commitment scale with reliability 0.802. Data analysis used in this study is regression analysis with two predictors and partial correlation. The first hypothesis test results obtained a score of F = 26.217, R = 0.613, and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). Thus it can be seen that there is a relationship between Ethical Leadership and organizational commitment to employee turnover intensity. The second hypothesis obtained rx1y = 0.274 and a significance of 0.009 (p <0.05). These results prove that there is a positive relationship between Ethical Leadership and turnover intensity. The third hypothesis obtained the results of rx2y = -0.612 with a significance of 0,000 (p <0.05). The results explained prove that there is a negative relationship between organizational commitment and turnover intention.

Aim: Affecting the attitudes and the behaviors of the employees, leaders’ ethical focused behavior is one of the most important factors affecting employee work motivation. The study was conducted with the aim of examining the relationship between ethical leadership behavior and the work motivation of Intensive Care Nurses (ICNs). Material and Methods: The study adopted a cross-sectional and descriptive design and was performed between August and October 2018 with 98 ICNs at a university hospital in Turkey. A Nurses’ Description Form, the Ethical Leadership Scale, and the Nurses’ Work Motivation Scale were used to collect data. Since the data were found to be normally distributed, to compare the total scores of ethical leadership scale and nurses’ work motivation scale for demographic information of the nurses independent t-test and analysis of variance (ANOVA) test were used. Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between ethical leadership and work satisfaction. Results: A statistically significant positive correlation was found between the mean total score of the Ethical Leadership Scale and the mean total score of the Nurses’ Work Motivation Scale (p < 0.001). A statistically significant difference was found between the mean total score of the ELS and the number of patients for whom daily nursing care was provided (p < 0.05). Conclusions: It was concluded from this study that the perceptions of ICNs concerning ethical leadership behavior and their work motivation were at a medium level. In addition, it was found that the nurses’ ethical leadership behavior had a positive effect on their work motivation. Nursing leaders should therefore endeavor to maintain their ethical behavioral integrity in order to promote nurses’ work motivation.
