A Robotic ‘Jack Spring’™ is a new type of mechanical actuator, which is based upon the concept of structure control. A Jack Spring™ mechanism is used to create an adjustable Robotic Tendon, which is a spring based linear actuator in which the properties of a spring are crucial to its successful use in gait assistance. Like its human analog, the adjustable Robotic Tendon uses its inherent elastic nature to reduce both peak power and energy requirements for its motor. In the ideal example, peak power required of the motor for ankle gait is reduced from 250W to just 81 W. In addition, ideal energy requirements are reduced from nearly 36 Joules to just 25 Joules per step. Using this approach, an initial prototype is expected to provide 100% of the power and energy neccessary for ankle gait in a compact 0.84kg package. This weight is 8 times less than that predicted for an equivalent direct drive approach.

In most of the reports on nanocrystal (NC) luminescent, the power depedence of luminescent intensity is studied using a continuous-wave laser with low power density, and the slopes of those different emission bands keep unchanged. In this paper, the up/down conversion of monodisperse Yb/Er: NaGdF4@Yb: NaGdF4@Yb: NaNdF4 NCs under the excitation of 800[Formula: see text]nm femtosecond laser was detected simultaneously by a home-built optical measurement setup. The power-dependent optical properties under the excitation of femtosecond laser are quite different from the normal situation, which is due to their high peak power and energy transfer processes: Nd[Formula: see text].

Abstract The load isolation electric vehicle improves the range of electric vehicle, which separates the concept of power and energy, so that the engine can always work in the most economical operating area. Based on Simulink, a single battery load isolation electric vehicle model is established for a mini car. According to the requirements of vehicle performance indexes, the parameters of vehicle system model, gasoline generator set, battery pack and motor model were matched. In the process of accelerating the average speed to the set maximum speed, the battery voltage curve and the motor output power are analyzed. The analysis shows that the battery has no overvoltage danger and the motor does not exceed the peak power, thus verifying the feasibility and superiority of the model.
