Background: Academic burnout is one of the most important problems throughout all levels of the education system. Objectives: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between time management and academic burnout with the mediating role of test anxiety and self-efficacy beliefs among university students in 2019. Methods: The study was a descriptive correlation performed by path analysis. The statistical population included all students of Islamic Azad University of Ahvaz and 222 of which were selected as the sample of the study using convenience sampling. The research instruments included the Academic Burnout Questionnaire, the Time Management Questionnaire, the test anxiety inventory, and the General Self-Efficacy Scale. The proposed model was evaluated using path analysis with AMOS software. Results: A direct and positive relationship was observed between time management and self-efficacy beliefs (β = 0.345, P = 0.0001) and between test anxiety and academic burnout (β = 0.515, P = 0.0001). The relationship between time management and test anxiety (β = -0.586, P=0.001) and between self-efficacy beliefs and academic burnout (β = -0.305, P = 0.0001) was negative. The relationship between time management and academic burnout was not significant (β = -0.051, P = 0.425). The results indicated that test anxiety and self-efficacy beliefs had a mediating role in the relationship between time management and academic burnout (β = -3.964, P = 0.001). Conclusions: According to research results, the proposed model had good fitness and is considered an important step in identifying the effective factors in students’ academic burnout.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship among seventh grade students’ mathematics self-efficacy, mathematics anxiety, attitudes towards mathematics, and mathematics achievement with respect to gender and school type. In order to examine the difference in self-efficacy, anxiety, attitude and achievement in terms of gender and school type, and two-way ANOVA were performed. In addition, multiple regression analysis was run to investigate the role of mathematics self-efficacy, anxiety, attitude, gender and school type on predicting mathematics achievement of seventh grade students. Results revealed that there was a significant main effect of gender on mean self-efficacy scores, attitude scores, anxiety scores and mathematics achievement. However, school type did not have significant main effect on mean self-efficacy scores, anxiety scores, and achievement scores but have significant effect on attitude scores. It is believed that explaining differences in mathematics performance of students with the help of emotional parameters will give valuable implications for the teachers.

Various studies showed that there are some points which affect students’ achievement; one of them is mathematics self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is feeling, trust, and confidence of affective behavior of students toward their ability. In learning process, the students find obstacles in solving their problem such as relating one representation to another representation. Previous studies indicated that students’ achievement of mathematical representation ability have obstacles because the students did not understand relationship between concepts, ideas, and materials to be represented. The other studies claimed that the higher students’ self-efficacy, the higher mathematical multiple representation ability (MMRA). It means that self-efficacy has positive correlation with mathematic ability. This article will discuss about role of mathematics self-efficacy toward ability achievement of mathematical multiple representation ability (MMRA) in solving mathematics problem in order to increase students’ achievement.

This study examines the impact of organizational justice and self-efficacy on teachers’ performance in Indonesia and the role of internal motivation. Using path analysis, the findings indicate that both organizational justice and self-efficacy can affect teacher performance and correlate with internal motivation. Additionally, internal motivation plays a role as a partial mediating relationship between organizational justice and teacher performance, as well as mediating self-efficacy and teacher’s performance.
