In international literature there are many documented studies which have shown the relationship between leadership and job satisfaction. Specifically, transformational leadership is highly associated with this important and positive work attitude, that is, job satisfaction. The interpretation in a school context is that the director should operate as transformational leader so as to produce better educational outcomes through teachers' job satisfaction. In Greece, little empirical research has been done to investigate the perceptions of teachers about the relationship between transformational leadership and job satisfaction of teachers. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the perceptions of teachers to the extent that transformational leadership contributes to job satisfaction. The selected research method is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, namely using the questionnaire and the interview. The sample consisted of 171 teachers from two types of educational institutions, secondary junior high schools and high schools, of a local directorate of secondary education. The survey results showed that teachers feel substantial satisfaction when the school principal acts as a transformational leader. Demographic variables, the type of school, and work experience, do not affect the views of teachers.

This study aimed to discover the school principal instructional leadership influence on job satisfaction of vocational high school teachers in Sleman Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta.  This type of research was ex-post facto with a quantitative approach. The questionnaire was conducted on 91 teachers (71,09% response rate) to examine the influence of principal instructional leadership (X) on teacher job satisfaction (Y). Validation of the instrument used expert judgment and empirical test with the Pearson Product Moment correlation, 43 out of 43 items are declared valid. The instrument reliability test was applied by using Cronbach's Alpha. The results of the reliability test showed that all variables were declared reliable (α > 0,7). A classical assumption test was done by testing normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. Simple linear regression was used as data analysis to test the influence of the independent variable (X) towards the dependent variable (Y). The simple linear regression results indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between the principal instructional leadership on teacher job satisfaction (t = 13,329, p = .000). The coefficient of determination value (R^2)  of 0,666 indicates that the principal instructional leadership influences teacher job satisfaction by 66,6%. Meanwhile, the remaining 33,4% are influenced by other factors.

The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the influence of leadership, emotional intelligence and work motivation on teacher’s job satisfaction. This research was conducted by  survey on state senior high school of  West Java, with sample of 100 permanent teachers of proportional random sampling technique. Analyzing of the data, study was conducted  with using MINITAB statistical 14 and SPSS 17 program.The study found that there is direct and significant influence of the leadership of school principal on work motivation; There is direct and significant influence of EQ on work motivation; There is direct and significant influence of the leadership of school principal on job satisfaction; There is indirect significant influence of EQ on job satisfaction through work motivation; There is direct and significant  influence of work m otiation on job satisfaction.

The Malaysia Education Development Plan 2013-2025 focuses on empowering school principal leadership as the main platform for developing school excellence. Therefore, this study was conducted to look at the transformational leadership relationships practiced by principals into two main elements that influence school excellence, namely the school climate and also teacher job satisfaction. A cross-district survey was used to collect data involving regular daily secondary school teachers in Kelantan. A total of 390 teachers from the population of 10866 were randomly selected using the grade sampling method. The instrument consists of 20 items already used to measure transformational leadership among principals (Femke Geijsel, Peter Sleegers & Rudolf van den Berg, 1999), 3 things to measure teacher job satisfaction (Johnson, Stevens & Zvoch, 2007), and 21 items used to measure school climate (James Griffith, 2003). The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Version 25.0. The findings show that there is a significant positive relationship between transformational leadership towards the school climate and teacher job satisfaction. The findings can be used by school leaders in efforts to develop the school climate and environment as well as to adopt recommended approaches to improve teacher job satisfaction levels.

The study aimed to identify the leadership patterns practiced by the female principals of the first circle schools as seen by the teachers of the first field in the province of North Al Batina, and to identify the level of job satisfaction of the teachers of the first field, and to reveal the correlation between the leadership patterns of the female principals of the first circle and the job satisfaction of the teachers of the first field. The researcher used the descriptive correlation method, and designed two questionnaires: the questionnaire measuring the leadership patterns of the female school principals of the first episode in North Al-Batina, and the other the questionnaire of the measurement of job satisfaction in the teachers of the first field in The North Al-Batina, each questionnaire contained 30 paragraphs, and included three axes. The results of the study showed that the democratic leadership style came first, with a mathematical average of 4.45,which is the most practiced pattern among the principals of the first circle schools in the province of North Al-Batina, followed by the autocratic leadership pattern, the leadership pattern, asindicated by the results of the study to the high level of job satisfaction in all axes with a mathematical average of 4.52, and came first the center of job satisfaction related to satisfaction with the nature of work, with a mathematical average of 4.62, followed by the axis of satisfaction of school mates, and came in third place the focus of satisfaction for the school principal, and also indicated the results of the study indicated the existence of a positive medium statistically function between the practice of the female principals of the first circle schools in the province of North Al-Batina of the democratic leadership style and the job satisfaction of the teachers of the first field, where the correlation reached the coefficient r =0.61. Based on the results of the current study, the researcher recommends: maintaining the level of active practice of the democratic leadership style of the female teachers of the first circle schools in North Al-Batina, because of its importance in achieving a good level of job satisfaction, and maintaining the level of high job satisfaction among the teachers of the first field in North Al-Batina, because of its role in achieving.
