Purpose This paper aims to learn about consumers’ information disclosing patterns in the mobile internet context by investigating how demographic, geographic and psychological factors influence their information disclosing willingness (IDW).Design/methodology/approach Drawing on self-disclosure theory, the authors carried out simple linear regression analyses on a Chinese sample of 10,000 participants.Findings The results revealed that significant gender differences exist between males and females in their IDW in mobile internet context, and females have higher IDW than males do. And the authors also found that first-tier (third tier) citizens have the lowest (highest) IDW in their mobile internet usage.Originality/value This study offers three implications. First, this paper captures the insight of IDW within the mobile internet context, while previous studies mostly focus on the desktop internet context. Second, the results show that females have higher willingness to disclose than males do in the context of mobile internet, which is different from the findings of prior studies that females have higher privacy concerns and lower disclosing willingness in the context of desktop internet. Thirdly, this research introduces city tiers as a new approach to the study of IDW, which is one of the first studies exploring the geographical effect on information privacy.

This study has the benefit of analyzing the effect of regional gross domestic product on poverty in the city of Medan in 2010-2020. The research method used is a quantitative method with reference to a descriptive approach. The data used is time series data on economic growth and poverty at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Medan City in 2010-2020. Data collection techniques used are journals, book documentation, and previous reports. The technique of analyzing the data uses simple linear regression analysis which is carried out to determine whether the model used is free from deviations from the classical assumption test. The equations obtained from the simple linear regression analysis test Y = 24576.325 – 0.365X and have the understanding that the GRDP variable (X) has a significant effect on Poverty (Y). Obtained a value of R2 (R square) of 0.556 with the understanding that the independent variable, namely GRDP, affects the variable of the poverty level in Medan City by 55.6%. Meanwhile, the remaining 44.4% are influenced by different independent variables and are not included in this study. For this reason, it can be concluded that when GRDP increases, it will have an impact on decreasing the value of Poverty in Medan City, and vice versa. Keywords: Gross Regional Domestic Product; Poverty; Medan city

Abstract. Recent studies have investigated the use of satellite imaging combined with machine learning for modelling the Chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentration of bodies of water. However, most of these studies use satellite data that lack the temporal resolution needed to monitor dynamic changes in Chl-a in productive lakes like Laguna Lake. Thus, the aim of this paper is to present the methodology for modelling the Chl-a concentration of Laguna Lake in the Philippines using satellite imaging and machine learning algorithms. The methodology uses images from the Himawari-8 satellite, which have a spatial resolution of 0.5–2 km and are taken every 10 minutes. These are converted into a GeoTIFF format, where differences in spatial resolution are resolved. Additionally, radiometric correction, resampling, and filtering of the Himawari-8 bands to exclude cloud-contaminated pixels are performed. Subsequently, various regression and gradient boosting machine learning algorithms are applied onto the train dataset and evaluated, namely: Simple Linear Regression, Ridge Regression, Lasso Regression, and Light Gradient Boosting Model (LightGBM). The results of this study show that it is indeed possible to integrate algorithms in Machine Learning in modelling the near real-time variations in Chl-a content in a body of water, specifically in the case of Laguna Lake, to an acceptable margin of error. Specifically, the regression models performed similarly with a train RMSE of 1.44 and test RMSE of 2.51 for Simple Linear Regression and 2.48 for Ridge and Lasso Regression. The linear regression models exhibited a larger degree of overfitting than the LightGBM model, which had a 2.18 train RMSE.

During the pandemic, children aged 5-6 years need time to learn from home so that cognitive abilities during the pandemic experience obstacles. Family motivation has an important role in empowering children's cognitive abilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of family motivation on the cognitive abilities of children aged 5-6 years during the pandemic. The research method used is quantitative. The research subjects found 60 children consisting and 60 parents of: grades B1, B2, B3, B4 at the Putera Bhineka Institute. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The validity and reliability test showed that all the item instruments used were valid and reliable. Data analysis using SPSS 22.0 with simple linear regression test based on hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was no significant effect of motivation on children's cognitive abilities during the pandemic aged 5-6 years. The results of calculations with simple linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing can be said that tcount is 1.311 and a significance value is 0.195. The significant value is 0.195 > 0.05 or seen in the tcount of 1.311 < ttable 2.001. These results can be influenced by environmental factors in the community and the school environment. The findings of this study contribute that during the pandemic, children's cognitive abilities are not influenced by family motivation, but rather by environmental and other factors.

Introduction: Objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs) are considered the gold standard for evaluating pharmacy students’ clinical skills due to their reliability and validity. Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine whether faculty inter-variability in OSCE grading had a significant impact on a student’s overall performance. Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted using data from two cohorts of third-year pharmacy students. Descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and multivariate linear regression analyses were conducted. Results: There were 120 students that participated in the OSCE with a mean score of 66.7%. Higher scores in the Integrated Therapeutics (IT) 2 lecture series and the IT 2 lab course corresponded to better OSCE scores. Out of 17 evaluators, six were found to rate students significantly lower and one was found to rate students significantly higher in comparison to a reference evaluator who evaluated students closest to the overall mean. Conclusion: It is likely that standardised grading, and possibly additional training, may be needed to ensure a fair and appropriate evaluation of OSCE performance.
