A novel coordination polymer Zn(DMA)(TBA) (1) (H2TBA = 4-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)-benzoic acid) features a unique two-dimensional (2D) network structure, exhibiting excellent luminescence and good stability in both water and other organic solvents.

The title coordination polymer, [Cd3Co2(CN)12(C2H8N2)4]n, has an infinite two-dimensional network structure. The asymmetric unit is composed of two crystallographically independent CdIIatoms, one of which is located on a twofold rotation axis. There are two independent ethylenediamine (en) ligands, one of which bis-chelates to the Cd atom that sits in a general position, while the other bridges this Cd atom to that sitting on the twofold axis. The Cd atom located on the twofold rotation axis is linked to four equivalent CoIIIatomsviacyanide bridges, while the Cd atom that sits in a general position is connected to three equivalent CoIIIatomsviacyanide bridges. In this way, a series of trinuclear, tetranuclear and pentanuclear macrocycles are linked to form a two-dimensional network structure lying parallel to thebcplane. In the crystal structure, these two-dimensional networks are linkedviaN—H...N hydrogen bonds involving an en NH2H atom and a cyanide N atom, leading to the formation of a three-dimensional structure. This coordination polymer is only the second example involving a cyanometallate where the en ligand is present in both chelating and bridging coordination modes.

We herein report a Cd-based coordination polymer containing three integrated polymeric components: two neutral and entangled two-dimensional (6,3) nets and one zwitterionic one-dimensional polymer with corner-sharing double-stranded chains propagating along the c-direction to lock the consecutive ligand struts of the (6,3) nets. Despite a sophisticated entanglement, this coordination polymer is porous to selectively adsorb CO2.

AbstractA new two-dimensional ZnII coordination framework [Zn(1,3-BMIB) (OBA)]n (1) (where H2OBA is 4,4ʹ-oxy-bis(benzoic acid) and 1,3-BMIB is 1,3-bis(2-methyl-1-imidazolyl)benzene) has been prepared and characterized through IR spectroscopy, elemental and thermal analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 is a (4, 4) grid coordination polymer with a layer structure. It exhibits high photocatalytic degradation effects upon UV irradiation of methylene blue and methylene orange aqueous solutions.

We report a 2D Eu-based MOF that give promising applications in several areas, especially in luminescence sensing. This compound can be exfoliated in nanosheets and also, transformed into a hydrated polýmer with strong red luminescence by naked eye.

A Cd(II) complex based on fluconazole and isophthalate ligands, {[Cd(HFlu)(IPA)(H2O)] · H2O}n (1), (HFlu=fluconazole; H2IPA=isophthalic acid) has been synthesized. Single-crystal X-ray analysis reveals that complex 1 has a 2D network structure including unusual triple hydrogen bonds between hydroxyl and triazolyl groups. The complex has also been characterized by IR, UV=Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and thermogravimetry

Water-coordinated copper coordination polymer exhibited strong enhancement of HER activity in neutral medium with good stability compared to non-water-coordinated coordination polymer.
