In this work, a covalent organic framework (COF) TAPT-TFP-COF containing a triazine ring was prepared by a typical Schiff base condensation reaction of 1,3,5-tris-(4-aminophenyl)triazine (TAPT) and 1,3,5-triformyl phloroglucinol (TFP).

A hexagonal COF has been designed via Schiff-base condensation reaction between 1,3,5-tris-(4-aminophenyl)triazine and 1,3,5-triformylphloroglucinol. It showed excellent sensing behavior towards nitroaromatic compounds through fluorescence quenching and excellent CO2 uptake.

In this paper we report the extremely crystalline structures, high thermal stabilities, and strong fluorescence emissions of covalent organic frameworks based on linked carbazole units.
