To identify the role in carbon stabilization, the content and reserves of SOC and TN in brown soils of the middle mountains of the Chirchik river basin of the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan were investigated in connection with the climatic conditions of the slopes of various topographic aspects. The content and reserves of SOC and N were the highest in the soils of the northern slope, and the lowest in the soils of the southern slopes; the eastern slopes, in this respect, occupied an intermediate position. The climates of slope exposures were the main factors influencing on the content and reserves of SOC and N in the profile of brown soils, indicating the need for separate consideration of carbon emissions from soils which are developed on slopes of various topographic aspects.

The enrichment of groundwater and rivers by nutrients (nitrogen and phosphorus compounds) and their consequences is one of the most severe problems across Europe as well in Slovenia. Transfer of nutrients from different sources into the environment causes eutrophication of surface waters, nitrate accumulation in groundwater, and others. In this paper, the methodology of the material flow analysis is presented and applied to develop a nitrogen balance in a river basin and to evaluate different scenarios for total nitrogen pollution reduction. Application of the methodology is illustrated by means of a case study on the Krka river, Slovenia. Different scenarios are to be considered: the present level of sewerage and treatment capacities, different stages of wastewater treatment and management of agricultural activities on land. The results show that beside effluents from wastewater treatment plants, agriculture contributes significantly to the total annual nitrogen load. Beside reduction of point sources by means of wastewater collection and implementation of nutrient removal technology, managing agricultural nitrogen in order to protect river water quality and drinking water supply should become a major challenge in the Krka river basin.

Abstract Macroporous lands sensitive to wetting represent a category of sites with high vulnerability during construction exploitation. In this regard an effective measure is the protective shielding measures against the main factors influencing its behavior. The paper deals with a complex case study by both its importance functions and the fact that the objective analyzed is a part of historical monuments of particular value to the local community, namely the water tower in Braila Public Garden - România.

Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) is part of  the  banking  financial institutions  apart from the commercial  banking. .One of the activities of the BPR is to distribute the credits as done by the commercial banks. Problems. BPR as micro financial institutions, in doing their business to  distribute  the credit up to certain amount, are faced with  the  commercial banks  which  have more  competitive advantages, both in the price  and facilities provided. Objective of this research is to identify the factors influencing the customers in making decisions to take the credit at BPR. By identifying the determinant factors in choosing the banks, BPR can use it to improve their services to the customers and at the same time BPR can use it as a strategy in  giving credit to the customers or debtors. The metode employed in this study was regressive logistic method, which was  used to  identify  what factors determine the customers to choose credit at BPR. The conclusion is that the procedures and personality of staff are the main factors making the customers choose credit at BPR
