In the design process of space science experimental equipment, in order to better grasp the dynamic characteristics of the structure, a large number of finite element analysis is needed. This paper comprehensively use HyperMesh and Nastran to establish a set of finite element analysis process for space science experimental equipment, combine the advantages of each software to perform finite element analysis comprehensively, which greatly improves the accuracy and efficiency of the finite element analysis, the problems of this kind of engineering analysis has certain reference value.

Abstract The finite element method, which is a numerical discretization technique for obtaining approximate solutions to complex physical problems, is accepted in many industries as the primary tool for structural analysis. Computer graphics is an essential ingredient of the finite element analysis process. The use of interactive graphics techniques for analysis of tires is discussed in this presentation. The features and capabilities of the program used for pre- and post-processing for finite element analysis at GenCorp are included.

This study is concerned with a design process for a foldable container structure using a finite element analysis. A foldable container structure consists of frames, panels and hinge systems. The main structure of a foldable container carries all the loads while a hinge system is designed to provide its foldability. In this work, finite element structural analyses for the main foldable container structure are carried out based on the ISO standard regulation, whose results are then taken for the design of a hinge system. The finite element analysis with two types of hinge systems are also performed. It is found out that the main structure of a standard 20ft container could be used for the foldable container with the same capacity if the corner edge in the side assembly is strengthened. It is also concluded that the hinge systems proposed in this work could be successfully used in a foldable 20ft container.

This paper discussed the theoretical analysis and engineering improvement test verification of the crack problem in the back van of the vehicle. Causes that may result in the crack problem are firstly analyzed and then determined by the finite element analysis. Improvement are given and proved to be effective by the test verification of an improved vehicle. The method used in this paper will contribute to the analysis and solution of the crack problems in some parts of the vehicle and has reference value in engineering application.

The use of Pro/E and their respective advantages ANSYS software product design and engineering analysis to solve the case, first of all in the Pro/E, the completion of three-dimensional helical gear design, and then in the Pro/MECHANICA completed finite element model of helical gear, and then into ANSYS for finite element analysis of bevel gear calculation and simulation, finite element analysis of the final results of optimization design model is presented recommendations for improvement. The product design and engineering analysis method has some reference value in engineering design.

According to the usage of vehicle radar antenna pedestal connection plate, this article analyzes and compares the structure characteristic of welding and casting. We decide to adopt the casting structure and use cast aluminium ZL101A. Based on the connection plate of using conditions, we analyze the deformation and stress of connection plate by the finite element analysis software. The design is in line with the material allowable requirements and to meet the requirements of the system stiffness.

Taking into account the problem of plenty repeated works during the operation of engineering application software, the integrated solution of engineering application software based on EASA (the encapsulate tools of software) was proposed for improving the analysis efficiency and ensuring the analysis accuracy of software purpose. Then taking the strength analysis of bogie’s side frame as an example, the integrated analysis interface of strength analysis about side frame was established, realized the remote invocation based on Web, and the efficiency of engineering analysis was improved.

In this paper, through the finite element analysis software ANSYS, analysis and research on the part drawing of the diesel engine connecting rod. Using pro/e modeling, introduce it into the finite element analysis software ANSYS for the finite element static analysis of the state of load on the connecting rod. Setting correct model, partitioning appropriate mesh, and setting a reasonable process solution, it can generate visual stress nephogram to facilitate access to important data and intuitive understanding. There is a certain reference value to guide the practical production and shorten the production cycle of the product.

The paper is to study the working device of rough terrain forklift, carried out forces analysis on a typical three section telescopic boom, results indicated that the boom working in the lowest position is the most dangerous situation, Adopted the CAD software of SolidWorks to build the three dimensional models of telescopic boom, then used the FEA component of SolidWorks Simulation to carried out finite element analysis(FEA) for the working device, obtained FEA results. By the use of comparing the stress testing results with the finite element analysis results, certificated that the finite element analysis models are reasonable and the finite element method by Simulation is feasible and reliable. All of these works have very important reference value for designing and optimization of the telehandler in the future.

We decide to adopt the casting structure and use special casting material ductile iron QT450-10. And we describe the casting material ductile iron QT450-10. Based on the center frame of using conditions, we analyze the deformation and stress of center frame by the finite element analysis software. The design is in line with the material allowable requirements and to meet the requirements of the system stiffness.
