In accordance with the Russian Federal Target Program of Social and Economic Development of the Crimea and Sevastopol, a bridge across the Kerch Strait is being built now. Of course, such complex structures are significant for Russia. Solving technical issues at different stages of engineering investigations, design, construction and operation of such objects it is required to attract specialists from scientific, educational, design, construction organizations, and manufacturers of building materials, structures and equipment from different countries. Before the implementation of this project, more than 70 different variations of the construction of the transport crossing were considered. These are combinations of bridges (cable, arched, girder, combined, etc.), tunnels and embankments in four sections of the Kerch Strait. As a result of the multifactor analysis, the optimal variation of the transition through the Tuzla point of two parallel bridges of about 19 km in length, with beam spans of 55-64 m, arches with a width of 227 m and a height of 45 m in the navigable channel was adopted. The bridge clearance for passage of ships is 185 × 35 m. To design a unique and complex bridge under existing regulations, special technical conditions were developed. When piles were driven, there were difficulties and issues that required prompt solutions. Employees of the Department of Highways and Bridges of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University were involved in testing piles and hammers. The design of foundations and the technology of driving piles were changed as the test results were obtained.

In the last decades of the twentieth century - the beginning of the twenty-first in the various countries of the world, the active construction of planetariums has continued. Modern planetariums are becoming multifunctional objects, where not only lectures and training sessions with a picture of the starry sky are held, but various social and scientific events, conferences, exhibitions, circle-studio classes, etc. can be held. Planetariums are often included in scientific, educational, museum -exhibition or entertainment complexes, while providing maximum comfort and a variety of additional services for visitors. The projection technique used in stellar halls has changed significantly - from optical-mechanical devices, the planetarium is moving to the use of optical-electronic devices, which opens up new possibilities for a more detailed and effective demonstration of the phenomena and processes occurring in the Universe. In this regard, the requirements for architectural and planning decisions have been changing; innovations in volumet-ric-compositional and constructive solutions of planetariums appear. Since recommendations on the design of this type of building were issued more than thirty years ago, it is necessary, based on an analysis of modern experience in the design, construction and operation of planetariums, to develop recommendations for improving the architectural and planning decisions of these objects for further use in modern design practice and educational design.

Recently, BIM (Building Information Modeling) became mandatory in Korea, and BIM started to be implemented in construction area. It is a design tool for maximizing the efficiency of design, construction, and maintenance throughout the entire lifecycle, but there are not many studies about the demolition wastes (DW) in the demolition stage. This study gathered basic data concerning the development of a database of DW disposed in the demolition stage using BIM-based building material database. For this, a BIM software, ARCHICAD, and construction material categories of the item list system of the PPS (Public Procurement Service) were analyzed to select major building materials. Based on the analysis, the disposal routes were analyzed considering the characteristics of DW. The database of DW was developed by examining the disposal routes of 52 major construction materials selected according to the characteristics of each material during demolition and selecting 7 major DW.

Most CAAD software in use for architectural education relies heavily on abstract geometry manipulation to create architectural form. Building materials are usually applied as finishing textures to complement the visual effect of the geometry. This paper investigates the limitations of commonly used CAAD software in terms of encouraging an intuitive thinking about the physical characteristics of building materials in the context of the educational design studio. The importance of the link between representation and creativity is noted. In order to sample the current functionality of typical software used in architectural education a case study involving 80 first year architecture students is presented. These outcomes are discussed and the possibility for new or extended software features are suggested. The paper concludes with an argument for design software that redresses the balance between geometry and materials in architectural design education.

Based on general investigations and utilizing GIS software, missing historical data was hypothesized. From the perspectives of social and economic development, this paper tries to find the logic behind the formation and development of traditional settlements. Using systematic examination, the features of the town’s overall layout, courtyard shape and building materials appear. Applying comparative analysis, this paper indicated the similarities and differences between Tangyin town and the other areas of Jiangxi, and add them to the construction logic of the middle area in Jiangxi to make the following construction activities much in order.

The article is devoted to the generalization of the existing information concerning dinoflagellates of the Crimea. A list of dinoflagellate species of continental waters of the peninsula and the Crimean coast (Black and Azov seas) of Ukraine was compiled. It is based on the analysis of literature and original data obtained in 1987, 1992-1993 and 2011 in the Black Sea. The list of dinoflagellata species of Crimea includes 196 species (206 infraspecific taxa) belonging to 64 genera, 36 families, 15 orders and 3 classes. Eighteen species have been recorded in the fresh and salt water bodies and mud volcanoes of the least studied continental part of Crimea; half of them were also found in marine waters. Dinoflagellates of the Azov coast of Crimea and the Kerch Strait are similar in number of species, but differ significantly in composition (26 and 31 species, respectively; only 13 (25%) of them are common). The greatest number of species of dinoflagellates found on the Black Sea coast of Crimea. It is almost half of all species known for the Black Sea (196 and 447, respectively). To compare the species richness of dinoflagellates from different regions of the Crimea, survey data covering all areas in a short period of time are of great importance. A total of 74 species of dinoflagellates belonging to 3 classes, 11 orders, 22 families and 30 genera were found off the coast of Crimea. The most species-rich genera are Protoperidinium Bergh (17), Dinophysis Ehrenb. (8), Gymnodinium F.Stein (7) and Prorocentrum Ehrenb. (6). Based on the analysis of original and literature data and the criterion of similarity of the species composition of Crimean dinoflagellates, it’s division into five algofloristic regions is proposed: the western Black Sea coast of Crimea (from Karkinitsky Bay to Cape Aya); southeastern (from Ayia to Takil), Kerch Strait, Azov coast of Crimea and land (which, in turn, is divided into steppe and mountainous Crimean regions). It is in compliance with the algofloristic zoning of Ukraine.

The monograph presents the results of experimental and theoretical studies conducted using models of driven piles and tape dies. The influence of the cross-section size, length, shape of the trunk and the lower end of the piles on their submergability, energy intensity of driving and load-bearing capacity was evaluated. The design and technological features of new types of piles are considered. A method for determining the load-bearing capacity of a pile model based on the results of dynamic tests has been developed. Similarity conditions and formulas are presented that provide modeling of the pile driving process in the laboratory. The influence of the shape of the tape dies on their submersibility, energy consumption of the driving and the bearing capacity of the foundations arranged in the vyshtampovannyh pits was evaluated. The method of determining the load-bearing capacity of a belt Foundation model based on the results of pit vyshtampovyvaniya is described. Recommendations on the choice of optimal parameters of piles and foundations, arranged in vystupovani pits. Recommended for researchers, specialists of design and construction organizations, doctoral students, postgraduates, undergraduates and students of construction and water management specialties.

The article deals with theoretical and applied issues of biological reclamation of vegetation in an abandoned hydromorphic (flooded) lime quarry of building materials in the foothill zone of the Crimea. The stages of the primary syngenesis of the vegetation forming here have been identified; without mining technical reclamation of the open pit, this territory will be taken out of economic use forever.

The article is devoted to the study of the interaction of the construction cluster participants, which determines the dynamics of the volumes and paces of construction in the region. The main subjects of this process are construction organizations and manufacturers of building materials. The main requirements of regional construction companies to suppliers of building materials are defined. The factors are revealed reflecting the dependence of the results of the construction companies' activities on the production and economic activities of the companies producing construction materials. Based on the available observations for 7 years, a statistical analysis of the samples was carried out and regression models of dynamics were constructed, the significance and adequacy of the obtained models were checked. The constructed mathematical models reflect the dependence of the volume of performed work in construction from the production indicators of manufacturers of building materials and supply organizations. The conducted research allows us to conclude that the most significant negative factors affecting the volume of work performed are the dynamics of prices for finished metal products and the dynamics of prices for the transmission and distribution of electricity.
