An effective tool that allows you to dampen economic losses from the Western sanctions imposed on our country is the development of international cooperation and the associated processes of localization of production. However, along with the positive effect, there are a number of administrative and organizational problems that impede the expected results from both foreign partners and domestic manufacturers. On the example of the shipbuilding industry, the problems of further development of inter-cluster interaction are shown both at the national and international levels. It is shown how participation in the formation of the Panel of Equipment Suppliers, which is an extensive computer system for managing procurement activities and material and technical supply of shipyards, will expand the opportunities for foreign companies to participate in the implementation of large-scale government orders.

Despite growing interest in experience sharing among leisure travelers, there is still limited research concerning the role of travel experience sharing on leisure traveler’s life satisfaction. The main objective of this research is to test the moderation effects of experience sharing during and after leisure travel on the bottom-up spillover process of tourists’ leisure travel satisfaction–life satisfaction hierarchy. The positive effect of holiday trip motivation fulfillment on overall holiday trip satisfaction is hypothesized to be amplified by on-site experience sharing (e.g., uploading holiday pictures or videos to social media platforms while traveling). Also, the positive effect of holiday trip satisfaction on holiday travelers’ subjective well-being is hypothesized to be amplified by posttrip experience sharing (e.g., publishing blog posts or travel reports online post trip). We used data from a large-scale social survey in Germany (N = 2,198) and the results confirmed the hypotheses. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed.

The aim of this article is to discuss the role of the blue economy, also known as “blue growth”, as related to the traditional maritime economy in Pomorskie Region. The potential of the latter is comprised by transport infrastructure centres consisting mainly of two ports – in Gdańsk and Gdynia – with a fundamental role for the national economy. These ports in recent years have seen intensified growth as evidenced by their increased throughput – mainly in terms of containerized cargo volumes. The modern approach to the maritime economy is based not only on heavy, large-scale investment in the infrastructure and cargo handling capacities, but also on sustainable development related to sophisticated technology and energy saving. The importance of the latter has been highlighted by Pomorskie Region’s four Intelligent Specializations aimed at ensuring sustainable growth in the region. Although the maritime economy is the focus mainly of Intelligent Specialization No. 1 “Offshore, port and logistics technologies,” there is in fact a synergy effect which has led to establishing mutual relations between all intelligent specializations. This approach combines the shipbuilding industry with energy production and biotechnology through innovative solutions. Meanwhile, IT supports logistics and marine tourist helps modernize and revamp sea ports as well as stimulates Pomeranian shipyards to manufacture specialist ferries and passenger ships.

In article conception of «judicial discretion» is presented through then contrast of positivism and natural law. Author justified positive effect of extension of independence of judicial discretion based on a fair resolution of the dispute.

This study defines the nature, scope, pace, and consequences of the rapid development of social networking in the 21st century. The impact of INFOCO systems upon civilizational development is investigated and predicted for the future. Such concepts as Global Virtual Society, Global Virtual Nation, Virtual Nation, Virtual Users, National Virtual Citizens, and Global Virtual Citizens are defined. Their electronic culture is defined, too. Finally some recommendations for further research are provided. In particular, the question of whether the concept of one world government is good or bad for mankind should be answered soon, in order to properly steer the further development of large-scale social networks.

The subject of this article is the assessments of national researchers on various aspects of shipbuilding of the Azov Fleet in 1695-1712. The goal consists in revealing the key issues in development of shipbuilding industry as one of the branches of domestic military production by means of critical analysis and generalization of results of research conducted by the Russian scholars. The author examines the factors  and prerequisites for selecting Voronezh as the center of construction of the Azov fleet, the key stages and evolution of shipbuilding industry and activity in the Voronezh Region, establishment of administrative branches and role of foreign experts thereof,  results of shipbuilding of the Azov Fleet and its impact upon further development of shipbuilding industry in Russia. The novelty of this study consists in analysis of the works of national researchers dedicated to shipbuilding of the Azov Fleet for covering the problem of establishment of shipbuilding sectors of the Russian military industry, clarifying and generalizing debating points on the subject matter. The article describes the influence of the conditions of shipbuilding of the Azov Fleet upon the course of shipbuilding works and the image of forming shipbuilding industry. The factors of institutionalization of shipbuilding industry, the course of development of the first shipbuilding cluster in Russia, as well as the results of short-term and long-term shipbuilding activity of are revealed.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to theoretically develop the idea that the intangible value of the collaboration between firms and the banking system can influence the probability of default (PD) on the part of firms and, therefore, their rating. The authors also propose that collaboration between banks and firms has a positive effect not only on the access to credit but also on the innovation activities and on the intervention of foreign capital in the ownership of Italian businesses. Design/methodology/approach – As pointed out by the literature on smaller businesses finance, investments widely rely on credit availability. Tests using data on a sample investigation involving 5,587 firms, operating in 17 manufacturing sectors in Italy, support the majority of the proposed ideas. Findings – The empirical investigation shows that only some aspects of the collaboration between enterprises and banks influence the PD, the investments in R&D and the internationalisation of ownership of the enterprises. In particular, the three stated variables are positively influenced both by the intensity of the credit relationship and by the level of information exchange with the credit system. Research limitations/implications – Further development of this research, as more empirical data become available, should allow explaining why the level of information exchange with the credit system has the greatest influence on the dependent variables analyzed. Originality/value – This paper aims to extend the current understanding on how the local banking system is developed and is able to increase access to credit after gathering all the information about firms asking for funds.

The issue of women's rights has become a topic of focus in all societies striving for democracy today. International cooperation on gender relations and equality in them will have a positive effect on improving the social status of women and their free exercise of their rights, their place in public administration, science, economics and other areas. Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea are two countries that have entered a new phase of economic, political, cultural and international cooperation in all areas. Purpose: This article aims to explain the status of BEs and to discuss their role in Nepal for a prosperous nation. Methods and materials: The study adopts the explanatory methods using both (i.e., primary and secondary) source and secondary data. For this purpose, the study entertained the process of collecting, arranging, organising and interpreting the collected data with appropriate forms. Findings and conclusion: The study found different types and forms of BEs in Nepal with different legal statuses but very small in number. The forms of BEs showed that sole proprietorship and P.Ltd. dominated business culture. Foreign companies and public limited companies which issue shares and debentures found in nominal number. The conclusion of the study shows that the governments of Nepal from the very beginning have not been working in a planned way to established the BEs in the appropriate required forms, types, natures and manner. Considering the requirement of the nation on the BEs, the government of Nepal should immediately take a good step for further development of the BEs. Originality/value: In this subject and context it is the first attempt although it deals with the BEs with different aspects and explains the role of BEs for the prosperity of the nation very clearly and substantially. However, it requires further study to be completed in all aspects.

Purpose This paper aims to explore the phenomenon of ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new overseas subsidiaries and demonstrates the possibility of modifying such ceremonies to place greater emphasis on intra-organizational communications. Design/methodology/approach This is a careful study of 200 videos on 73 ribbon-cutting ceremonies in Russia between 2012 and 2018. Findings Under the current prevalent design, ribbon-cutting ceremonies mostly entail inter-organizational communication, i.e. communication between foreign investors and representatives of the authorities of the host country. Meanwhile, in addition to the standard ribbon-cutting ceremonies, it is observed that several videos on intra-organizational communication, i.e. pseudoformal meetings between the team from the corporate headquarters and employees of a newly built factory. During such meetings, top corporate executives express the importance of the factory vis-à-vis the future of the whole corporation, state their expectations for the further development of the factory’s production facilities, postulate the desired working atmosphere in the factory and appeal for the commitment and assistance of the employees in safeguarding the future of the investment. Originality/value The findings provide a basis for a broader discussion on the role of ribbon-cutting ceremonies as staged large-scale events organized by firms to articulate, highlight, disseminate, rationalize, as well as mobilize internal and external support for their strategy.
