This study aimed to identify the proportion of diversity and suitability of narrative mathematical questions with SOLO taxonomy level and mathematical power ability. The research was conducted through quantitative descriptive. Sources of data in the forms of narrations contained in mathematics textbooks. The research procedure was conducted by making the classification and determining the percentage of the narrations based on the compatibility of SOLO taxonomy and the mathematical power ability. The results showed that, the narrative mathematical questions with uni-structural level are of 7.5%, multi-structural of 33.8%, relational of 46.6% and extended abstract of 12.1 %. In terms of compatibility of the narrative  questions were able to measure 23% reasoning aspect, 18% problem solving, 8.3% connection, 28% communication and 22.6% mathematical representation. In general, mathematics textbooks as the object of research should be revised, since they have not yet achieved the ideal alignment between SOLO taxonomy based on grade level and the objective of learning develop mathematical power

This study aims to determine the level of validity and practicality of teaching materials in the form of textbooks and digital student activity sheets (SAS) applied mathematics for blended learning models. Research using the 4D model development method includes: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate, carried out at the Politeknik Negeri Bali (PNB). The validity of textbooks and SAS is seen from the feasibility of: content, presentation, language and graphics. While practicality is seen from the ease of use, attractiveness of offerings and benefits. Data were collected through validation and practicality questionnaires, then analyzed descriptively. The results showed the level of validity of textbooks and SAS reached 83.1% and 83.7% were categorized as valid, while the practicality level reached 83.4% and 82.9% were valid categories. Applied mathematics digital teaching materials are suitable for blended learning, but small revisions are needed. The implication is that Draft II of applied mathematics digital teaching materials, its development after minor revisions can be continued to the effectiveness test, evaluation and dissemination stages.

This research is a quasi-experimental study that aims to determine the effect of interactive video-assisted Blended Learning models on mathematical problem solving abilities. This research was conducted at SMPN 13 Serang City class VIII. The population in this study consisted of 10 classes VIII and taken 2 classes to be sampled. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. The Blended Learning model used in this study isconventional learning in class by involving online resources and online activities which are not a requirement for students to follow. While the video used is a video adopted from one of the paid online learning rooms, Ruang Guru. Problem solving ability is measured using a test in the form of a valid and reliable question description. Furthermore, the data obtained were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis.

Blended learning is a new strategy or way in the learning process. Besides face-to-face learning, the learning process should also be carried out in an online manner. Online learning could facilitate teachers and learners to learn anywhere and anytime. It is an appropriate learning strategy and supported by a learning model that could integrate various science disciplines, such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This research aims to describe the improvement of problem-solving skills on energy via blended learning-based PjBL STEM. Each syntax of the learning consists of five-stage. They are problem solving,  focus the problem, describe the problem in physics description, plan a solution, execute the plan, and evaluate the solution. This research applied an experimental research design with pre-experimental (one group pretest-posttest design). The sample consisted of thirty-five Al-Azhar Islamic SHS 3 Bandar Lampung at X Science 1. The instrument was a problem-solving skill test in the form of an essay. The test results were analyzed with paired sample t-test. Based on the promoted research, the N-gain of experimental group learning outcome was 0.43, categorized moderate. The paired sample t-test hypothesis result obtained the Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) ≤0,05 is 0,00. It showed the improvement of problem-solving skills using the blended-learning-based PjBL STEM model.

The vocational schools in Taiwan regard professional certifications as a badge of skills achievement. However, due to a national policy, pure online courses are not permitted. Moreover, it remains unclear whether every subject is suitable to be delivered via online courses. In this regard, the author conducted a quasi-experiment to examine the effects of applying blended learning (BL) with different course orientations on students’ computing skills, and explored the appropriate combination for teachers who teach computing courses. Four classes in successive semesters, with a total of 195 students from the courses of ‘Database Management System’ and ‘Packaged Software and Application’, were divided into 2 (Design-oriented vs. Procedural-oriented) × 2 (BL vs. Traditional Learning) experimental groups. The results showed that students from both design-oriented and procedural-oriented courses delivered in BL environment, had significantly higher grades on the examination for certificates than those who learned in traditional learning environment.
