Education during the COVID-19 pandemic has created many things that need to be considered by providing education from parents and families, so that every child's development can develop optimally. One of the developments of children that must be developed during this pandemic is social development. This study aims to find out ways that can be done to develop social development. This research was conducted using a literature study research method, in this case the researcher used several relevant research sources in the form of previous books, articles and journals, which became the focus of this research, namely developing social skills in early childhood through role playing methods, when Children's social skills can develop optimally so that later children can solve problems and make decisions without having to depend on others in the future. From the results of the study, it can be seen that one of the most appropriate ways to develop social skills in early childhood is to use the role playing method. This can be proven from several previous research results that are relevant to developing social skills through role playing methods in early childhood.

“Asking the Woman Question” in Case Study Research

Case study research provides the researcher with the opportunity to decide the most convincing epistemological orientation. Such versatility is nonetheless embedded in the assumption of objectivity contends G. Griffin in Difference in View: Women and Modernism, which speaks of an “abstract masculinity” intended here as the assumption of universal humanity where men's and women's experiences are melted into one experience. Case study research, this contribution contends, even when about women, hinders the experience of women, an experience that is always situated, relational, and engaged. In other words, ontologically, it is argued here, the reality of women's lives is absent from the domain of case study research because the language adopted when framing case study research is still very much a language that talks about women, but it does not allow women to speak.

The Contribution of Case Study Research in Information Science

The reputation of case study research has grown as a research strategy for developing theories and as a method for investigating and understanding world complex issues. The purpose of this chapter is to demonstrate how the case study research can add value to a research project. Case study research, although becoming increasingly popular is not adequately utilised in information science research. The chapter draws on the literature on case study research in various fields and uses examples to inform research in information science. Case study research have been used across a number of disciplines, particularly, in the social sciences, education and business to address real world problems. Many researchers tend to use case study research because of the numerous advantages it offers. For instance, the employment of multiple data collection instruments maximises the depth of information, which in turn increases transferability of the findings. Additionally, the use of multiple cases and multiple data collection instruments make generalisation easy and valid. Maximising generalisability of findings is the ultimate goal of research.

Organizational cultural dilemmas have shown a lack of psychological safety and sense of belonging, which may be positively impacted by the application of combined servant leader (SL) and inclusive leader (IL) behaviors. SL focuses on serving others' needs first, embracing the individual's strength, and stirring towards inclusiveness. Controversy exists in the literature regarding SL's ability to promote inclusiveness in the workplace. This chapter explores factors that link SL and IL from the angles of others-focused orientation and of psychological safety, empowering uniqueness and sense of belonging in followers. A framework of inclusive servant leader (ISL) is explored. This study is significant. As younger generations enter the workforce demanding more equitable leadership treatment, servant and inclusive behaviors have come to the forefront of organizational attention; nevertheless, its application is still in its infancy. A multiple case study research was conducted.

Methodology and Method in Case Study Research

It is the situational specificity or context of qualitative research that ensures the case study remains a methodological approach, inherently valuable in practice-based research. Since this is inherently complex and multifaceted by nature, being able to provide a means of systematically analysing and framing research investigations is pivotal to the credibility of research that can highlight and illuminate these specific contextual issues. This chapter provides a means by which researchers can begin to frame the complexity of phenomena they wish to investigate by deliberately determining its parameter or scope and then framing or binding this. Beyond these processes, an insight into the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data will be provided so that theoretical outcomes can be framed and posited as part of an active contribution to knowledge. The fact that case study can be posited as both methodology and method ensures its capacity to address the need of being able to undertake context-specific evaluatory research or the overall complexity.

Employing Self-Study Research Across the Curriculum

Self-study is a research methodology focused on improvement of teacher education practice and exploring personal, practical, and professional transformation by the practitioner. Utilizing many qualitative methods, this interactive and often collaborative form of inquiry is well suited to study curriculum, considered broadly, as both the written and enacted, and all impacts of this curriculum. This chapter discusses the use of self-study in teachers' inquiries into curriculum. It presents the background and theoretical underpinnings of self-study research showing how this research genre emerged out of teacher practice and is rooted in the notion of teacher as curriculum maker. Guidance for forming research design is outlined, as well as various questions and topics for which self-study of curricula is well suited. Specific examples are expanded to include rationales for methodological choices and demonstrate how this research has been carried out in real-life practical situations.

The development of independence and adaptation ability is an important thing and must be passed by every student’s development. In this study, research was conducted on 5th grade students and 1st grade student. The result is the 5th grade student had better development of independence and self-adjustment abilities than 1st grade student.
