Abstract Mathematical modeling of the influence of the temperature field created by the ECU on the position and on configuration of the solidification front under different conditions of growing single crystals of fluorides by the HDS method has been carried out. Data were obtained for different growing conditions for single crystals of fluorides and their effect on configuration of the solidification front in various modifications of the ECU of the first and second types. From a comparison of mathematical calculations, a conclusion was made about the most suitable conditions for the synthesis of these single crystals.

Temperature-field and orientational magnetization dependences of single crystals were measured. Both samples demonstrate significant field-depending temperature hysteresis and low-temperature counter field magnetization. The correlation of orientational dependences of these effects and magnetic anisotropy is analyzed; the role of spin-lattice interactions is discussed.

To promote the development of energy-saving dispatch under the pressure of energy saving and environmental protection, this paper proposes an energy-saving dispatch method based on considering demand response, which establishes a bi-level optimization model based on the optimal allocation plan of thermal units and interruptible loads, and solve the problem with improved NSGA-II and sensitivity analysis between unit interrupt capacity and thermal unit output. The case study shows that this model can decrease the pollutants at both generation side and demand side significantly with guaranteeing the economic of power grid operation. The model can also give the dispatch schedule of thermal units and interruptible loads accurately and thus has some use value.

The worst problem we are facing in the hydraulic system is the serious loss of energy, due to bad matching between the power components and the actuators and the large pressure loss when oil flowing though the various hydraulic elements, especially in speed governing system. However, Servo pump which is introduced in this paper can cover the problems mentioned above finely. The most difficult thing is its mathematical modeling, in the paper, it is established according to the actual situation. Here, the modeling between servo valve and cylinder, between cylinder and pump are established respectively, then these are connected by geometry relationship, finally ,the whole modeling is completed.

The initial shape of the reaction zones for the interaction of hydrogen and oxygen on the surfaces of the single crystals of platinum in FEM and FIM devices is discussed in connection with the effect of temperature and surface anisotropy. Interaction of the (H2 + O2) mixture has been studied at room temperature and the results were confronted with the interaction of hydrogen and preadsorbed oxygen at low temperature and with the anisotropy of the low-temperature field-corrosion of platinum.

The improved resistively-heated furnace with two heaters established a vertical thermal gradient to control nucleation during AlN single crystals Physical Vapor Transport (PVT) growth on polycrystal tungsten substrates. During the high temperature (> 1850 °C) heating process, the reverse temperature field (i.e., the temperature difference between the sublimation zone and the crystalline zone ΔT < 0) was obtained to reduce the number of nuclei on the tungsten substrate. During growth, the proper positive values of ΔT T were chosen to content the supersaturation values (0.25 < S < 0.3). The reverse temperature condition during high temperature (> 1850 °C) cooling was fulfilled to avoid recrystallization on grown AlN crystal. AlN single crystals made through the method were characterized by X-ray diffractions (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy.
